Hotel is well situated. Clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent buffet breakfast. Really good sized clean double bed. Only criticism in our room was that the bed barely fitted in the space and there was only a really tight space maybe 15cm between the end of the bed and the wall. We managed but an elderly couple or someone with poorer mobility would struggle.

The truth is they advertise themselves as an allegory hotel and it is only modern but they don't even give you water... the minibar is empty you have to pay some psck in advance to purchase it when you are paying 150 euros per night, you have to pay for the water, I asked water for mate and it seemed that I had asked for something impossible to get, when we arrived they told us that they would see if the room was ready when we arrived at 3:00 p.m. and check-in was at 2:00 p.m. Then there was a terrible smell when we entered, like something rotten. Apparently it came from the ventilation, we had two nights of not being able to sleep and both nights the hotel was full so we could change, the last night I couldn't sleep because of the smell there was and if you didn't have the air on it was impossible to ventilate the room. place because you have a mini window that overlooked a lung, we couldn't even take off our tights. The loieza until there. They made the bed and changed the towels but they never replaced the jars of toiletries in the bathroom.
The truth is that I feel that it is a mediocre hotel for 75 euros per night, not double... I came from staying in a hotel in Narcelina Sant Cugat where they even provided you with water every day! And it was worth half...

Good location in the heart of the old town, lots of places to eat & drink & easy walk to the marina & beach. We had booked a family room but had been upgraded to a mini suit when we checked in , which was a nice surprise. Rooms were spacious & little touches like bath robes & slippers & complimentary toothbrush & toothpaste were a nice touch. Bed was huge & very comfortable. We were on the front on the first floor & noise wasn’t a problem. There was no towel to put on the floor outside the shower- which ended up with a very wet floor after a shower- but when I asked for one, it was supplied. Now for the negatives- sofa was stained, desk lamp wasn’t working, I reported this on the first day but it never got sorted, although beds were made daily, cups & saucers weren’t replaced & we only got 1 small bottle of water. Breakfast was ok, nice selection of pastries but hot food was only warm, same everyday & very oily- even the scrambled eggs. These things let the hotel down & made us question its 4 stars

We are currently here at Occidental Alicante staying in a family room and we can only give praise. Having never done a city break wow! The rooms are comfortable and have almost everything you need. The best hairdryer I've ever used! Our room only lacked a mirror in the bedroom. This would be useful when getting ready as when those you are staying with are showering there is no mirror to use. Breakfast time was lovely. No rush or lack of choice. Service is great! Very clean. Our room was ready upon arrival. We emailed ahead to confirm arrival time and they had our room ready for us. Lots of space in the room with plenty of storage for clothes etc. Overall, so much more than I expected.
