Alicante Province Hotels with Bars

LOCATION 4/5 If you want a cheap and cheerful hotel to rest your head and a base to explore, then this will be the place for you. I wouldn't want to stay here for a week but its ok for a few nights. Located a 5 minute walk from the beach, its in a good location with plenty of restaurants down at the beach and nearby. This is not in the hustle and bustle of the city centre and so if you would rather be more central then you could stay here and get a bus/tram into the centre. Its about 1.5 hours to walk from here to the castle near to the city centre or 20 mins by car. FACILITIES 3/5 The facilities at the hotel are pretty basic. There is one outdoor pool (not heated) with sun loungers, on site restaurant, gym and sauna, the sauna was not in use when we stayed and the gym is pretty basic. There is however plenty of gyms to use along the beach front if you want to get some exercise, along with beach volleyball, football and other activities to keep you active if that's what you like. The pool as stated is not heated so pretty cold but that can be welcoming in high temperatures but not so good for an early morning dip. We visited in September so out of season and there were plenty of free sunbeds, however I can imagine in summer season you may struggle to get one. I also found that the pool was over run by children, even when visited out of season, so if you don't like too many children I would avoid this hotel as it is very family friendly. ROOM 3/5 The room was adequate with a comfy bed, all be it the beds were just pushed together and moved about a lot and i ended up falling down a gap in the middle of them. Aircon was good as was the shower, whihc was hot and powerful. Clothes line option in bathroom to hang your wets and a standard low powered hair dryer provided. No tea and coffee facilities in the rooms, but there was a small fridge to store your bottled water. You are not allowed to consume food and drink on site note bought there so not sure what else they expect you to store in the fridge. Electronic safe in wardrobe was easy to use and free. The windows could be opened and in addition to air con is a ceiling fan if you are not a fan or air con. STAFF 4/5 The staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful and welcoming. No issues at reception or in the restaurant. We asked several questions during our stay and they were very accommodating in helping us. FOOD 3/5 The breakfast buffet is standard for Europe with some hot options and continental breakfast, cereals, fruit etc. The quality of food is ok and like I said at the beginning this is a cheap and cheerful hotel, you pay for what you get so don't expect amazing food quality. There is no allergen information so this can make things difficult if you have an allergen and you may have to ask staff to assist you with what you can and cannot eat. Good basic accommodation, clean and adequate for our needs at a really good price! Impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the great buffet breakfast. No frills but a great price that matched our expectations. Location is not central in Alicante but there are many bus stops accessible within 5 minutes walking distance and bus prices are cheap. Parking onsite. About 20 minutes away from the center. Ideal for short stays or those on a budget.

We really like AC hotels for comfort and value. Also the staff are usually excellent and very helpful. Our issue here was not with comfort - our room was good. The problem was a lack of staff and service. When we arrived, there was literally one (helpful) memeber of staff on reception. We would have loved a drink at the bar or in the lounge but it was shut and no room service was available. What was worse is that the bar and restaurant was not opening until 20.30. In point of fact, the bar never opened and didn't even look stocked and the place just lacked staff. The food at dinner was fine but again the friendly waiter was just under pressure. Whether it was because it was a Saturday, I don't know, but the service was non exisitent and this is a management issue not the staff that were there. There is no excuse for not being able to get a drink when you arrive at a 4 star hotel!!

Hotel was lovely very clean , cleaners were in everyday we stayed for 4 days in June it well away from.any tourist attractions so if you're looking for that maybe not for you elche town is lovely we went on a Friday night was lots of little streets full of lovely shops and tapas bars , there wasnt much in the way of entertainment , the whole time we were there we heard one English voice there was a lot of Spanish people staying at the hotel for there holiday pool is very clean they check the water cleanliness regular, we were booked b&b but we stayed for lunch too they had special lunch menu 2 courses with a soft drink or house wine was €18 drinks were very reasonable but I couldn't find anywhere that could make cocktails

Every year, due to the circumstances we encounter, this summer will be more special, so we cannot be happier. Thank you very much for making our stay so enjoyable. The cleaning staff left us those cool bags for the children, and the reception let us leave the room until 4pm. Most importantly, let Ismael take care of us in the swimming pool when the umbrella starts to give way:) We will repeat without question.

Nice clean hotel although our room was a bit dark as you opened the window onto a room but you get what you pay for and we booked the cheapest room. Very central in the middle of Alicante city centre. Rooms very clean. Staff very helpful. Breakfast buffet very good. I would stay here again.

We had a fantastic five-day stay at Port Europa Hotel. As a family of five, we booked two rooms. Each was a double room with a kitchenette and a sofa bed in one and two double beds in the other. The ocean view was gorgeous, and the beach was just a few minutes' walk away. We chose the all-inclusive option and were very satisfied. The buffet offered a nice variety of foods, and the staff was generally very friendly. A special mention goes to Marina from the entertainment team, who was a ray of sunshine. She was always smiling and made sure everyone received attention. Our son especially loved her because she included him in games, translated everything for him, and helped him feel welcome, even though he was a bit shy and didn’t understand Spanish. Thank you for making our stay extra special, Marina! Also, a shout out to Encarni from the bar for being so warm and welcoming and for her professionalism! Overall, it was a wonderful stay with a beautiful beach, spectacular views, and great accommodations. I recommend registering and going for a small hike up the mountain before the tunnel for even more breathtaking views. The hotel is about a 20-minute walk to the old city, with a grocery store nearby if you prefer to cook your own food. Mercadona, a more affordable grocery store, is near the old town and also within walking distance. Additionally, Salinas offers a flamingo pond, a small tourist market, and many nearby restaurants. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a relaxing vacation in Calpe!

Good value for money, highlight the kindness and friendliness of the staff, good area although a little difficult to park. The beds were very good but I could hear a noise from the sheets on the roof of the terrace both in my room and in my parents' room. The food is very good although drinks are not included, not even water.

**Een onvergetelijke ervaring bij La Costera Wijnhostel in Altea** Vanaf het moment dat ik voor het eerst binnenstapte bij **La Costera Wijnhostel**, wist ik dat dit een bijzondere plek was. De persoonlijke aandacht die je hier krijgt, is werkelijk ongeëvenaard. Van de eigenaar tot de kok en zelfs de lieve ontbijtdame: iedereen draagt bij aan een verblijf dat voelt als thuiskomen, maar dan met een vleugje luxe. Ik heb door de jaren heen geslapen in hotels als **Meliá**, **The Ritz-Carlton**, en **Four Seasons**, en hoewel die absoluut indrukwekkend zijn, biedt La Costera iets wat je daar niet vindt: pure, oprechte gastvrijheid. Hier draait het niet alleen om luxe, maar om een ervaring die blijft hangen. Zelfs toen ik onverwacht vroeg moest vertrekken, nog voordat het ontbijt klaar zou zijn, wist het team een fantastisch ontbijt pakket voor me samen te stellen – volledig last-minute. Dat is service van het hoogste niveau! En dan de keuken... Tijdens mijn eerste verblijf was ik al enorm onder de indruk. Alles is tot in de puntjes verzorgd, met smaken die doen verlangen naar meer. Ik kijk er nu al naar uit om in december terug te keren, deze keer voor drie dagen, om opnieuw te genieten van wat zij te bieden hebben. La Costera Wijnhostel biedt een ervaring die zelfs de persoonlijke touch van ketens als **Aman Resorts** en **St. Regis** overstijgt. Het is een verborgen parel waar je niet alleen overnacht, maar herinneringen creëert. Altea mag zich gelukkig prijzen met zo’n uniek adres.
