Overall the hotel was fine for a trip with a friend and the lady at the reception was chaotic but very nice. The room department and our room however smelled terribly like smoke and for non-smokers the smell in the room (it must be in the carpet or the curtains or whatever) was sickening. Also, there were some hairs on the shower walls when we checked in to the room (even after the cleaning guy had come by). Because of the smokey smell I wouldn’t stay here again.

Recommended! Staffs are very friendly and helpfull. Perfect location,very near to train and bus station.Easy walk to anywhere in the old town.The room was clean,big, comfortable,cozy and quiet.Best hotel in Alkmaar,definitely choosing here again

A weekend in Alkmaar and this hotel right across from the station. A friendly welcome, the rooms are in adjacent buildings. We had a room on the first floor, the stairs are a bit narrow and steep. The beds a bit soft for our taste, but the climate in the room is good and the sanitary facilities new. We did not have breakfast.
