I had a wonderful day here in October 24 , didn’t want to leave! The decor throughout the whole hotel is very unique. Great food , lovely drinks, gorgeous pool and the staff are wonderful. The beds are super comfy , lovely room with a balcony , and the location of the hotel is fantastic for exploring the local area. Couldn’t fault it at all.

The Magnolia is a great place to stay whether relaxing or trying to play golf 😊 excellent location, very friendly staff, great service. Half hour from Faro airport, easily accessible via taxi. Thoroughly recommend and definitely stay again.

A hotel 70s design vibe but modern facilities. Staff are excellent. Price and deals good. Food - certainly breakfast - excellent choice and help yourself. Lots of spaces to sit, chat, chill, exercise. Rooms are brilliantly cleaned each day. My only caution - the coffee machine at breakfast served really average coffee.

On the edge of the Quinta do Lago resort, famous for its many golf courses, this hotel is rather quirky. With just 84 rooms it does it’s best to match the facilities offered by some of the bigger hotels. Rooms have everything you need including toiletries, a flat screen TV and electronic safe. The beds are some of the most comfortable I have slept on. Facilities include a decent sized heated outdoor swimming pool, a very well equipped gym, chill out room, spa treatments and cinema room. We are not golfers but their golf packages are obviously very popular A complimentary breakfast is included and there is a restaurant and bar. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the property is kept spotlessly clean. A great stay whether you play or don’t play golf.

My first night stay at the hotel was a horrible experience! I woke up during the night to find hundreds of ants all over my body, all over the bend and under the bed— The remainder of the night I had to sleep in the chair I videotaped the ants and reported it to the receptionist in the morning I called for the hotel manager… His response was “ it happens occasionally !” No refund and not the explanation I was expecting! Will definitely not be staying there again

Writing this after 2 hours here so happy to write an update I booked a suite so we should split two single beds into two rooms. Reception (Alice) said it was impossible to move sofa to make room, contradicted by housekeeping later (after I had moved it). Reception spoke underneath her breath to a colleague, which was frustrating. Separate reviews have mentioned a ‘hold’ on money on arrival which is nothing of the sort… they charge your account and then presumably refund later (after chasing if the other review is to be believed) Generally a poor atmosphere with one amazing exception, the new housekeeping manager who has been here 2 days and was fantastic

Third visit really like the Magnolia, I always find the staff pleasant, rooms clean, bed comfy and shower hot. Breakfast is good, pool area is small but it works for us. Good location for the golf and numerous places to eat locally. I would love a little more light in the room but wouldn’t hesitate in coming back.
