First Camp Sjöstugan - Älmhult

Beautiful location on the lake with access to the beach and jetty, great offer, restaurant with a fantastic view and friendly staff, quality of the pitches varies greatly (directly on the water with a great view vs. quite crowded in the middle or "at the back"), the organization and maintenance still have potential - some things did not work as expected on site and not everything is in good condition

Of the 7 nights that we were initially supposed to stay here, we reluctantly pitched the tent for one night. The campsite was packed with caravans and campers, they only have two small fields for tents. Where in the email contact that I had with them two months in advance it was indicated that there would be enough space and electricity at every spot, we had to lay two extension cords across the entire field to connect to the other extension cord of that field. There was less than 2 meters between us and the neighbors, both at the front and the back. We had to pitch the tent too narrowly on the drive-through spot of that field, because otherwise we would have had to look for another campsite late at night. In addition, we had also booked two months in advance and were assured that there would be enough space. So we had completely different expectations until we arrived. Furthermore, there were a lot of young people who were noisy until the night, with loud music. Now we have been young ourselves and I will never complain to them or the parents, but it was not nearly the peace and quiet that we were looking for on holiday. Also for the price (330 kr per night and 5 kr per shower) this was not worth it. Very unfortunate and really a big disappointment. The next morning at 08:00 left for a new place.
