This lovely hotel is situated right in the centre of Alpbach village. My daughter and I stayed in Room 2, which exceeded our expectations with its two twin beds, large sofa, veranda and breathtaking views of the valley and mountains. It's conveniently located just a stone's throw from a high-quality ski hire shop and the ski bus stop, with buses arriving every 20 minutes for a quick 5-minute ride to the ski lift. The hotel owners were very friendly and helpful with advice.

This is one of the most unique accommodations we have been to during our holiday. A completely different experience than the large, often impersonal chain hotels you encounter in big cities. A fantastically located accommodation with a wonderful view of the Austrian Alps, what more could you wish for? The room itself was fine: spacious and clean. The bathroom (although slightly dated) was more than adequate and clean. Please note that there is no air conditioning in the room and although there is only a small chance here that it will remain above 30 degrees Celsius for a longer time, it is not completely unthinkable these days. The breakfast was ok: reasonable good pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit and a small but good selection of toppings. With this type of small-scale accommodations, it is certainly to your advantage to be able to speak some German: this makes communication easier during check-in and also during breakfast. Alpbach itself is a wonderful village and is definitively worth coming back to!
