Rim Rock Motel

Scrupulously clean and well-maintained. Comfortable bed. Staff gave me an excellent dinner recommendation (Antonio's). 5 minute drive to downtown. You might want to ask for a room away from the highway. My room was short on power receptacles for today's typical traveler. A pod on the nightstand with a couple of AC and USB ports would be welcome.

Clean and quiet. This 4/5 review is with the understanding that this is a mom and pop motel that is dated but clean and quiet are more important to me than new and modern. It is on the out skirts of town which helps keep it quiet. Fridge and microwave in the room. Nice grounds. Lovely view of the mountains and a few swings to sit in and enjoy your cup of coffee (in a real coffee cup with Keurig coffee) in the morning. Downsides We got there at 9:30pm. Too late for regular check in. There was an envelop on the lobby door with our information on it. Had our room number and our receipt. Both stated room 35. So we went to room 35 and the key didnt work. The key said room 32. So I cautiously open room 32 hoping no one was in there. It was empty (not the correct type of room, we had asked for a 2 queen and our receipt was for a 2 queen and 32 was a king) We decided it would be ok and stayed the night in room 32. At midnight when someone else pulled up I was a little nervous if there was any chance they also had room 32 but no one attempted to come in our room. In the morning when I let the front desk person know about the mix up I got a shrug and told we were charged the same price so no big deal. Overall I would stay here again, still seems like the best option in this town. Price was reasonable.
