Food: The lodge serves high-quality meals with a creative menu that includes fresh local ingredients and vegetarian options. Meals are beautifully presented and offer a good variety, with guests particularly enjoying the fresh fish and seafood.

Enjoyed three night (curtailed from five due to political situation) in this remote, tropical eden with golden sand, azure sea and rain forest. The Lodge and gardens blend into the natural environment to offer a sense of space, privacy and peace. So much attention has been given to comfort, function and ecological features. For example, there were lights in the cupboards, a drying wire in the massage space, comfortable chairs on the veranda and beside the sea, and the night lights were triggered by movement sensors. Another highlight was the food - all beautifully presented and fusing local ingredients with a French twist. For example, the chef created delicious pea gazpacho with brown bread toast and mint ice-cream. The picnic on the excursion to Nosy Iranja was special too - the fish cooked to perfection. All the staff were attentive and considerate, both to the guests and maintaining this Eden.

I’ve stayed in many beach resorts over the years and Eden Lodge is near the top of that list. We pulled up in the speedboat about 40 minutes from Nosy Be to a beautiful isolated beach, perfect warm water, only 6 “Tents” with nice patios, fully furnished with private massage tables off the back, kayaks and a Catamaran at our disposal, beautiful grounds full of Baobabs, Vanilla, Cinnamon, Jasmine, Ylang Ylang, and a creative menu with 3 excellent meals per day even if we had to struggle to avoid uncooked vegetables which is surprising given the location and travel guidance. Highly Recommend!

We stayed at Eden Lodge as the last 3 days of a trip around Madagascar. We were staying there to unwind before going home to the UK. We are a family of 5, including 3 teenage boys. I cannot speak more highly of our stay. The rooms and the setting are beautiful, with real attention to detail. As with all of our accommodation in Madagascar, the staff were exceptional. Friendly and attentive to our needs. You can choose to do nothing but read a book or swim on the very private beach or go for a hike, fish, play volley ball or have a card game with the amazing staff etc. if you feel the need to do something. If you sleep lightly, bring ear plugs if you don't want to hear the unique animal noises on a night.

What a very special place! A beautiful secluded location only accessible by boat. We were the only guests so had the mile long golden beach to ourselves and the local fishermen. Fantastic accommodation lodges, very good food, excellent friendly staff, great free activities and a range of extra trips available, 4 species of lemur onsite, as well as lots of birds, turtles and baobabs …

This beautiful lodge provided a perfect three days at the end of a long trip around Madagascar. The staff were delightful, food delicious and the lodge very comfortable. The eco credentials of this lodge are exceptional and its links with the local community are very good, not least the fresh fish available. It was a joy to watch the village children walk along the beach to school and to see the outriggered fishing boats setting out and returning. The boat ride, the only way to access the lodge means that it is very peaceful apart from some arguing lemurs in the evening.

We spent a week at the Eden Lodge following a week of rain forest walking and it was wonderful. It is only accessible by boat which makes it tranquil. It is a beautiful location, fantastic sunsets and nothing but the sound of the waves (and the occasional lemur!). We went snorkelling in the mornings before breakfast and were delighted with the fish and turtles we got to see. The food was lovely, great choice for breakfast and choices of starter, main and desert for lunch and dinner, all of which were excellent, beautifully presented and always a vegetarian choice (which although we are not vegetarians I did have a couple of them). Everything was spotlessly clean and it was all done without any intrusion. We did a couple of trips which were well priced and very well organised. There were 2 water bottles in the room which we could fill up from the restaurant area at any time. There were only 3 other couples there at any time so that added to the quietness, relaxing was very easy! The staff were second to none. Rouge the manager was lovely, helpful and engaged us every day. William and Rose in the restaurant were delightful and Dan the barman gave us a great selection of rums to try and chatted with us about local life. Sata the tour guide was attentive and reliable, he was great company and like all of the staff friendly and engaging. Everyone was so friendly. It was a lovely week and we were sorry it ended but we would highly recommend it.

The Eden Lodge experience has left me with a feeling of immense pleasure and gratitude. The whole place is so full of beautiful people and cultures that I can’t put into words. We had the best time ever to finish our holiday around Madagascar’s Réserve so. If you want peace and serenity or fun filled excursions this is the place. You will be welcomed with open arms.

Probably our best stay ever! For an eco-conscious couple, interested in wildlife on land and in the sea who want a bit of luxury, good food and needing some R&R this was absolute heaven. It was so good that when our agents moved us on to Nosy Be we cancelled the trip and came back after 1 night. In total, we had 6 nights here and we wished it had been longer. We liked; the lemurs in the trees, the hoopoes, green pigeons, kingfishers and other bird life, turtles in the sea, fish over the reef, walks on the beach, sunset and sunrise, the boat ride to get here- there are no roads. The baobabs, the gardens, the allotment. The mutual support for the fishing village, the school and the nurse. The friendliness of everyone, the waves from the kids on their way to school twice a day along the beach. The choice of food especially vegetarian options on the menus, the local ingredients, the gentle service from the all of the team at Eden Lodge- from the manager to the guys sweeping the leaves, all of them were a joy to deal with. Helpful, friendly, genuinely interested in making sure our stay was as good as it could be. The range of snorkel kit, in plenty of sizes, the paddleboards, the number of places for a siesta- lounger on the beach, another by the tent, padded mat outside the tent, day bed, actual bed. The tent itself was the right size, it was luxurious, the breeze from the sea kept it cool, the showers were spacious and hot water really hot and plenty of it. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows with high quality linens. The smooth wooden floors added a superior feel and look. The use of solar power throughout. So what could be improved? Probably the excursions, but that's a bit harsh- we had spent the previous 2 weeks up the tsingy, in caves, on lakes, and in the forests. If you go on the popular ones, go early as boats from Nosy Be can deposit too many guests for our liking. We were there out of season, with only 1 or 2 other guests at the time. 30 degrees most days, gentle to light breeze most afternoons and hardly a mosquito to be found- watch out for sandflies though.
