This beautiful homestay more than exceeded our expectations. The house is beautifully & tastefully decorated. The rooms are spotlessly clean, large & have everything you need including a large size fridge & huge flat screen TV. The small pool is clean, perfect temperature and inviting. Khun Ae cooks the dinner & she even catered to our vegan diet with her delicious home cooking. The rooftop is the perfect spot for a cold drink & watching the sunset. The location is perfect if you are getting up early as we did, to take the Red Lotus Lake boat trip. This lovely homestay was the highlight of our trip!

The nearest hotel to Honglian Lake Pier, no one, 🚶 walk for 1 minute. The air conditioner sounded a little louder at night, but anyway, I got up at 6 o'clock the next day to watch the sunrise.

The hotel is 50 meters away from the ticket office of Red Lotus Lake. If you don’t want to go to see Red Lotus early in the morning, it’s best to live here. There is Chinese porridge for breakfast, and the hotel restaurant also has some dishes. Dinner can be settled in the hotel. The room is spacious and you can bring it by car. Noch ist der Red Lotus See als Geheimtipp anzusehen. Genauso ein Geheimtipp ist das Village Homestay mit den Besitzern Khun Orn und Khun Aod. Wir waren zwei Tage dort und sind begeistert von der Gastfreundschaft und dem Ambiente dieses Homestay. Die Studios und Zimmer sind gemütlich, liebevoll und kreativ eingerichtet. Man fühlt sich wie zu Hause. In der Küche kocht Khun Orn ein sehr gutes Thai Essen und man isst im gleichen Raum mit den Gastgebern am Esstisch. Alles ist sehr lecker. Im Garten ist auch ein kleiner Teich mit roten Seerosen, an dem man sitzen und die Natur und gute Luft zu genießen kann. Wir bekamen für den nächsten Tag ein großes Boot reserviert und wir wurden früh um 6 Uhr direkt an den Pier gefahren. Mit dem Boot ging es dann zu den Seerosen. Der See ist dann schon rot, aber noch nicht von Seerosen, sondern von der aufgehenden Sonne. Dieser Sonnenaufgang mit den Seerosen im Vordergrund ist etwas sehr Erhabenes. Das Village Homestay ist ein wunderbarer Ort, um sich auf dieses Erlebnis vorzubereiten. Es wäre sehr schade, eines von beiden zu ignorieren.
