Very nice accommodation, superbly reconstructed Amsterdam house, nicely situated near Overtoom Oud-Zuid and the Vondel Park. Easy reachable by public transportation if needed (we took the car and were lucky to find a parking spot nearby). The host Gerry (his wife Petra who, as we understand, runs the place normally, was out of town) was very friendly and hospitable, and the house was beautifully redone with all of the egards from former past. Great atmosphere! Everything nice and clean (with few instructions, as you might expect from a house of this age). 10/10 would book again!

We really enjoyed our stay in this suburban part of Amsterdam. It is a beautiful house in a quiet residential area. Beautifully decorated rooms and great shared kitchen with tea/coffee available. Impeccably clean. The only constructive feedback is that the 2 x room doors need felt stoppers to help stop the noise from the other bedroom/bathroom doors as they are quite noisy when opening and closing. Still had a great stay though, visited many of the local restaurants and bars which were great and varied. Petra and Gerard are excellent hosts.

My sister made a reservation for a weekend in Amsterdam. We arrived a friday night and discovered that there was a mistake during the reservation. The owner refused to refund us. A nonsense. We were lost in a town without help. I will never go there again (and it's far from the town center by walk, we walked with our bags during more than 45 minutes). I wrote it on Google and she canceled my message. A shame.

I would highly recommend staying here in Amsterdam! It is a nice apartment in a great location and close walk to a beautiful park. The full kitchen had tea and coffee and all the appliances if needed. The owner was very friendly and accommodating and look forward to visiting Amsterdam again one day!

We spent four nights exploring Amsterdam and Petra's B&B was a very wonderful retreat after a full days sight seeing each day. It was very easy to find following Petra's instructions from the airport and took us less than half an hour. Situated on the edge of the beautiful Vondelpark we enjoyed walking through the park to get to the city centre and then enjoyed the sunsets walking back in the evening. The museum quarter of the city is just at the other end of the park. Situated in a residential area it is very quiet at night which is rare to find on a city escape. Our room was at the front of the property with en suite bathroom, very spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The two rooms at the property share a kitchen where there is a fridge, coffee machine, microwave. There is a supermarket nearby where we bought breakfast supplies and had it in our room every morning before heading out into the city. Mostly we ate out in the evening in the city however there are some restaurants close by both in and around the park. I cannot fault anything about our stay here, we waited two years to get here because of Covid and it was definately well worth the wait. thank you for a beautiful stay Petra. Jayne & Harvey.

I had booked on booking but an error led me to cancel 6 months in advance (reservation for October and cancellation in April). After contacting Ms. Petra, she did not wish to refund my 328 euros. She only responded when she saw my negative comment on Google saying that for 3 days she couldn't respond because she was driving. Too bad, she ruined my experience. So I absolutely do not recommend it unless you have a lot of money to lose. Dishonest. I should have followed the negative advice from the gentleman posted in January 2022.

My sister and I went to Amsterdam for three days in April. We walked from the station to the guest house with our bags on our backs. On foot, it's very long. By email, the host was very unpleasant towards us. I strongly advise against it.

I booked two nights in this house through Booking, but I had a problem and great difficulty in contacting the host who was virulent and not very commercial. The apartment is certainly beautiful to look at, but not the person. I therefore do not recommend this accommodation for the human service which is deplorable.
