Small Hope Bay Lodge

This was one of the greatest laid back resort I have ever been to. Just 20 or so cabins right on the beach. The all inclusive package is just that, everything you could want for and even serve yourself if the staff are busy elsewhere :-) The cabin was excellent, clean, comfortable bed and hammocks and sun beds outside your door. The cleanliness was top rate. The food was expansive, high quality and very varied. The kitchen staff so king, polite and welcoming. The Chef announces the dinner menu personally every night. Now to the dive team. Top Team who need an award. They could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. I wanted to see sharks and they showed me sharks! Montené was the best ever along with the rest of the team (too many to name). Then there is Jeff to owner, what a cool guy. He visited and chatted often making us feel really at home. If you can get to the Bahamas go to Small Bay Hope Lodge. You will love it! We did.

Exactly what the Doctor ordered! Great place, great staff, perfect location! I did not want to have to think about what to do, where to go, or when to do it! Honestly the best vacation I have had in years! Just the basics, but it is super clean, food and drinks were plenty and yummy! Thank you sooo much! I really needed this vacation to go smoothly. Kitchen staff...you work hard, and it showed...so yummy! Best cookies ever! Dive crew....I do not even know where to begin....Frogman, Moth man, Sunshine, 007, Mumbles, Grumpy, and I forgot Noel's! Oh well....you all gave me the best birthday eva! Do not keep Julie up so late next time!! Love you all! Janice

My family of 5 (3 teen daughters) returned recently from a wonderful vacation at Small Hope Bay. We all loved it. The location is amazing, Andros is really incredible to visit. We were there in December, and the weather was not perfect (windy and a little chilly), but we were able to find activities to do each day. We were not certified to dive prior to our trip, so all 5 of us participated in the resort dive course (which was so easy and user friendly). That enabled us to go on the shallow dives each day and it was magical for my family. The dive masters/ambassadors are an incredible team and work really hard to make sure everyone is accommodated for whatever activity suits. The cabins are simple but very clean and comfortable and the location is phenomenal. We also loved the small size of the property and the welcoming energy of the staff. The service level is fantastic!! Every single person that works there is so gracious. The only thing preventing me from a 5 star review is the food is a little limited and by the end of a week, we were ready for some variety.

Small Hope is an incredibly special place. It’s absolutely beautiful and simple in the best way. Time moves slowly and you can make each day as calm or adventurous as you want. Everyone—from the kitchen staff to dive staff to desk staff—is just top notch. We had a very memorable family vacation and can’t wait to come back. Our favorite days were the day on Goat Key, the day we had the whole beach and bay to ourselves, and our girls’ (13,17) first SCUBA dives. The cabins are clean and quaint and had way more room in them than we expected. The food really exceeded our expectations. The conch ceviche was the best! Thanks for having us, Small Hope.

All of the staff acts as if it is their personal responsibility that each guest is having a great time and that all of their needs are met. We arrived in a storm on a Saturday, and the rain did not let up until early Sunday. It was a little bit of a bummer for it to be stormy and ugly as soon as you arrive. We had a welcome drink and a description of how things worked there, while they were taking our bags to our rooms. We went to our rooms, got the optional AC going, and it was nice and comfortable. We had dinner inside on the first night due to the rain, but were fortunate that we were able to have dinner inside every other night but one. Nassau and Miami were getting pounded with rain all that week, so we were fortunate. Dennis, Ricardo, Montene, Noelle, Yente, Ed, Bonnie, Jay, Liam, George, Dillon, and Mia were all outstanding. They made the trip special for us. The Androsia shop is a nice place to visit and close by. We went on a snorkeling trip, as we are too old to take up diving now, and one of us is deathly afraid of sharks (not me)! But the beach water and the scenery is amazing! I don’t ever get tired of it. We witnessed sea turtles kayaking in the mangroves, rays, starfish, and numerous fish on the seemingly empty beach! Shout out to Rick and Terri for passing on their ice chest! Filled with Kaliks every day we stayed on the beach, and passed it on! Thank you all for a wonderful stay!

Amazing staff!! Really made an effort with our family of 6. Adult kids who loved to scuba dive and fish. Food was amazing. Almost like adult summer camp. Night dive was a highlight! We really created a lot of memories. Hated to leave. Too many workers to mention. All of them really made an effort.
