Truly lovely hotel ,rooms were to a very high standard & mattress was one of the comfiest I have slept in abroad, breakfast was really nice with everything you expect of a continental breakfast ,would definitely recommend staying there as a welcome relaxing holiday

When travelling in the Perigueux area we would highly recommend Chateau de Lalande . The chateau and its rooms have been beautifully and lovingly refurbished by its owners in the last few years and offer luxurious and comfortable accommodation . A lovely heated swimming pool in the large park-like gardens must be bliss in summer . Make sure you book dinner as the food and wines are first class , the menu well explained and the service excellent . Also breakfast is not to be missed . A stay at Chateau de Lalande is made very special by the charisma and kindness of its owners Catherine and Yves Staebell . As we experienced with a medical emergency during our stay in September , the couple could not have been more helpful and supportive during the emergency and indeed afterwards . We shall look forward to returning to Lalande in the near future . A wonderful place .

We had a fantastic stay. Beautiful chateau, beautiful grounds, beautiful pool, big room, nice bathroom, and a good restaurant. Definitely eat at least one meal at the restaurant. Make sure you allow enough time to wander the grounds - don't just show up for dinner and leave first thing the next morning.

WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDERFUL My husband and I walked the 38-day Chemin de Vézelay (Way of St. Jacques) and we can say without doubt this was an exception experience. Really, everything was perfect. We stayed in the gorgeous and spacious Grand Concert de Mozart room and didn't want to leave this lap of luxury. Our dinner was fantastic with the chef/owner cooking a gourmet meal. They have an extensive wine list so we splurged on a bottle of Bollinger champagne. The prices were very reasonable. Ohhh la la. This was a night in paradise. Seriously, stay here. Don't bother looking anywhere else.

Like other reviews, this is a special hotel. The main reason is the really warm, fun loving and upbeat owners who have more than just made us feel welcome. The suite room was full of character, charm and comfort. We loved the dinner service and it’s worth noting you need to reserve ahead when you book your room. Breakfast was convivial, plentiful and of a high standard. The young staff here were a credit to the estate. Plenty of outside spaces to relax and the pool was welcome after a day driving.

This hotel is hands-on run by the owners and that counts for a lot. If they weren’t so in charge, I’d probably rate the hotel a three star, as staff always seemed rather clueless, or simply could not be found. We had a lovely junior suite with everything we could want, only slight downside was the bathroom products were not very good (no bar of soap for example) so we simply bought some nice stuff when out sightseeing. A pretty building, with lovely original features, great modern pool and enough grounds to let you feel you have escaped – oddly no real external views as the property is surrounded by trees. Food was lovely, all the things I love from the region, wonderfully fresh and interesting combinations. Wine list was very good and we worked our way through it with great advice from the owner. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, I was hoping for lots of fresh fruit and the likes. Understandably, with business still picking up there was no daytime menu, or room service, but that wasn’t the end of the world as there are loads of great places to eat within a 20 minute drive. If in the region would certainly stay again.

Excellent déjeuner ce 14 février dans le restaurant Alsacien éphémère qui fonctionne de Novembre à mars dans cet établissement. Le menu st Valentin était extrêmement raffiné En dehors de l'hiver, cet hôtel ouvre ses portes avec un restaurant moins typé Alsace que je m'engage à tester le moment venu.

Château 19eme tenu par un couple de professionnels motivés. Proche de Périgueux et de l’autoroute A89 Charme et authenticité. Chambre confortable et refaite, très lumineuse et bien équipée Cuisine délicieuse de spécialités régionales ( foie gras, caviar de Neuvic, confit de canard…) Petit déjeuner intime dans la bibliothèque avec nombreux produits maison
