Beautiful guest house with lovely hosts. Always very welcoming and friendly. Fantastic surroundings in a great location for exploring the Fife Coast. Bed room spacious and so well appointed with a brilliantly comfy bed. Breakfast served in lovely dining room with excellent menu. Home baked items each day are a lovely touch. We have stayed here many times and always feel at home and relaxed. Would highly recommend.

Mark and Jennifer are amazing hosts. They made accommodations to allow us to check in early. They went out of their way to make dinner reservations for us at a local country club. They were both so friendly and had great advice and places to see and where to park, I would highly recommend staying at this B+B.

Just back from a four night stay at The Spindrift. We were taking in the Women’s Open at St Andrews and it proved to be a fabulous base for the trip. Jenni and Mark were wonderful hosts. I can honestly say the breakfast was the best I’ve ever had! Superb ingredients, freshly cooked. 10 out of 10!! The room we were in was very comfortable. Each day the room was serviced with clean towels. There was a well stocked honesty bar in the lounge which was a good opportunity to meet with other guests in the evening if you wished. The staff were all very friendly and approachable…nothing was too much trouble. Jenni and Mark run a fabulous family business. Hopefully we will return in the future and maybe get to play some golf next time!

Booked via Contours Holidays on a walking holiday. Despite agreeing with Contours that we could arrive after 6pm, the owner took great pleasure in informing us that this was not true and we should arrive between 4 and 6pm. And, upon arrival, owner produced a tray and we were told remove your shoes which we did. Breakfast was between 8 and 9 but when we asked for 9am we were told in no uncertain terms that 8:40 was the latest we could come down. It was a hot day and the radiators in the accommodation were on. When I queried this, I was told that it was necessary for the hot water. There were no fans in the rooms and one of the rooms was clearly next to the boiler as the wall was warm. After a sleepless night because of the heat and the constant noise from the water tank refilling, we were asked to pay our bar bill in cash or they would add VAT if we paid by card. This is tax avoidance. DO NOT STAY HERE

It is an old Victorian residence with beautiful interiors carefully restored and decorated. It stands imposingly as the first building as you enter Anstruther. We got the mezzanine room as I had a leg cramp. The room was very small, hardly enough space for two people with two suitcases and handbags. All the essential amenities were somehow fitted in. The window looked out into miles of green which was very pleasing to the eye. The bathroom though private was outside the room which was a little inconvenient. But it was fairly large and well equipped with both a shower cubicle and a bathtub. The lounge and the tiny bar in one corner was pleasantly decorated. Their dining room, though well equipped did not have much of elbow room either. The owners, Mark and Jennifer were warm and helpful. They maintain a lovely garden at the back, bird feeders attracting many birds. P.S. it’s a long and lonely walk to the centre of the town and the pier. There are no restaurant or shops near Spindrift.

If you want to stay in a superior guest house then this is a very good choice. The bed was super-comfortable, and everything about the room was high quality. But what really stood out for us was the breakfast - home-baked extra offerings made the stay feel special and, for us, very memorable.

Just back from a wonderful stay at The Spindrift. The hosts Mark & Jenni could not have been more accommodating. It was great to reminisce on our times in South Africa in the seventies with the hosts. The room was beautifully furnished and we had a really comfy bed. Breakfast is a real treat and to finish a freshly baked banana bread. Thanks to the Spindrift

From the warmest of welcomes by hosts Jeni and Mark, to the delicious breakfast, unbelievably comfortable 'cloud bed' and amazing attention to detail throughout the house, the Spindrift is absolutely enchanting. Beautiful location and Jeni even booked us in for a round of golf at the local course. Highly recommend this lovely place and will definitely be back! Thank you Jeni and Mark!
