The Hotel Colbert is located in the Haute-Ville neighborhood of Tana, providing its guests easy access to many interesting tourist sites (Rova,the Queen's Palace; Andafiavratra Palace;The Museum of Photography. The Colbert is also in easy walking distance to the FABULOUS restaurant,La Varangue. The hotel staff is kind and helpful. The Colbert serves yummy food at breakfast and dinner. Our room was clean,comfortable and quiet. an enthusiastic thumps up stay!

Good hotel, spacious rooms, very large bathrooms, very professional and courteous staff, many amenities including spa, gym, steam room, conveniently located in the administrative center. Breakfast is good quality-wise. Having said that, breakfast is repetitive, everyday the same thing, they should at least make the effort of changing something from time to time; wifi does not work so well; decor is a bit old style and equipment does not seem to be so functional; room cleaning service could be better and more consistent.

My first time in Madagascar, not knowing what to expect. Staff very professional and helpful. Room very clean and comfortable. Bathroom big and good lighting. Wifi better than in some European countries!! In the rest of the hotel, the olde-world decor and convoluted architecture are charmingly and perfectly fitting.

I was there for the african championship 2012, The hotel is luxury, the room was spacious with lots of amenities. The food was good and service was ok. The boutique was nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was a first experience in a 5 star hotel in Madagascar.

I have stayed here twice so far. Although it is an old hotel, the location is good and the hotel services such as breakfast, gym and spa are satisfactory. However, late at night, a hotel staff member broke in using a duplicate key. At 2:30 a.m. on August 19-20, 2023, a male hotel staff member entered the room with a female using a duplicate key. When I yelled at them, they hurriedly left and the two of them argued in the hallway for a while. After that, the staff called me and said, "I'm sorry, I thought it was an empty room and opened it." The next day, I went to the front desk to complain, but it was not reported and it seems to have been hushed up by the staff. There has been no official apology from the hotel so far. If you are staying at the hotel, you should be careful to place a chair or suitcase in front of the door so that the door cannot be opened physically. I have stayed here twice now. Although it is an older hotel, hotel services such as breakfast, gym, and spa are satisfactory. However, one time, the hotel staff used a duplicate key late at night to gain entry. Authentic old hotel close to the center of Tana. Practical because it allows access to everything. Brilliant spa area and top-notch massage. We had a great time at the restaurant, especially the breakfast with the all-you-can-eat buffet. It was great !

Emblematic hotel in Tana that I had the opportunity to test! We were able to enjoy the various services of the hotel (******, massage, gym). The indoor pool is magnificent. Go to the bar of Léonard the head barman of the Colbert, he offers super good mojitos and takes great care of the customers! The staff is adorable and smiling.
