Very nice hotel room, recommend the inter-connecting family room that has 2 single beds in it. All staff are very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is slightly out from the town, so you need a tuk-tuk or driver to take you there. Restaurant food is good, could have more of a variety changeover on the buffets. Pool fountain pump should be fixed as this was a great highlight. Would definitely stay again.

The room was not checked properly. The first one who took out his ears turned out to be dismantled and used. Secondly, the water was not 24 hours hot. The shower was not hot at night. Thirdly, there were no disposable toothbrushes and slippers in the room, which was not used until checkout. The price is reasonable, the hotel welcomes you warmly, but there are many tricks. If you don’t order water for dinner, your mouth will definitely dry up. And they are all charged in US dollars. There are many interlocking tricks. Maybe your expectations are too high at first.

Kamatha dinning experience with Diluki was exceptional. Resembles home cooked food with so many flavours, the pumpkin curry and lamb curry are a few stand outs, the kiri hodi with string hopper and pol sambal bar far the best I have tasted at any resort/hotel in Sri Lanka plus the other 12 dishes we sampled while Diluki talked us through the cooking process. Amazing I would give 10 stars if possible.

In the morning, I heard the roar of elephants, saw monkeys with long white beards, groups of egrets, many strange trees, and the ecological environment of Taiyuan, I love it! If it weren't for the special forces-style itinerary, I would have just stayed in this hotel. If you want to come to Sri Lanka to see the Lion Rock, I recommend you to stay in this hotel. The hotel is located in Anuradhapura, with beautiful pagoda ruins visible across a large lake. The environment of the hotel is quite beautiful, and the swimming pool is also very good. The supply of buffet breakfast is not stable. We stayed for 4 nights in a row. Breakfast was buffet breakfast on two days and set meal on two days. The explanation given by the hotel was that the buffet breakfast was not open because the tour bus had left and there were too few people. Anyway, it’s quite interesting to have a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast. Picture 1 is the set breakfast we had (the portions were huge), and Pictures 2 and 3 are the buffet breakfast.

When I booked the hotel, I felt that the overall hotel in Sri Lanka was not cheap. I saw a hotel in Anuradpur without seeing the price + environment. I simply decided this one. The trial and error cost was low. I didn't expect it but it was quite good. There are not many hotel rooms, the service can keep up, there is no decoration in the room, there are a lot of geckos outside, but there are no geckos in the room, no mosquitoes, this is very good. Hotel breakfast can choose Western and Sri Lankan (basically every hotel is like this), the weight is very sufficient. I think it's the king of cost performance.

Water garden is a beautiful resort to get away from the hustle bustle of Colombo. Special shout-out to Gihan who was looked into our every need during our stay. Cheers for an excellent service. We were offered a scenic and an informative board ride during which the naturalist gave an insight to the property as well as it's surroundings. Many thanks to Sabrina who ensured that we were well looked after. Rooms were beautifully designed in such a way that guest privacy is maintained and keep the guests engaged with nature.
