Pousada Aguape

Excellent place, withh great food and different activities, friendly staff. The swimming pool was important for cooling down during the day. We saw several species of wildlife (giant anteater, capybaras, macaws, toucans, lowland tapir, among others). I highly recommend.

Fantastic lodge to stay! The wildlife walks around as if they are pets and are very friendly and approachable. The lodges have a cute chilling area with hangmat and relaxing places. Amazing excursions during the day, you will see so many amazing animals and go on the water, on a horse and in a jeep. Everything’s possible. Inbetween you have enough time to relax and tan at the pool.

We were on a birding photography tour of Brazil and stayed two nights at pousada Auguape lodge for two nights . Yes it’s not lux but the experience was beautiful. The food also was a highlight. It’s like staying in ranch with lots of birdlife and animals. The ambience is very rustic but good .

We had an excellent stay at Pousada Aguape and highly recommend staying here while visiting the pantanal! The lodge was perfect and had everything we needed, from wide ranging activities, to leisure and downtown, and great food. Everyone at Aguape was very friendly, too! We did a lot of research when booking our trip and we’re so happy that we stayed here. We’ll be recommending it to all future friends who visit the pantanal. If you’re looking for an English speaking guide during your trip, make sure to ask for Liliane! She was an amazing guide and was with us for the duration of our stay. She’s incredibly friendly, puts a lot of effort into making sure the tours are comprehensive, and has a ton of passion for the pantanal. A little paradise in the middle of nowhere in the Pantanal of Mato Grosso do Sul State, Brazil. The perfect place for nature and animals lovers. A friendly and attentive team. The apartments are perfect. Tours and photo safaris allow us to discover the animals and landscapes of the Pantanal with guides who know their job perfectly and allow us to enjoy a magical experience. the food is just as perfect and different every day. A nice swimming pool to take a little rest and enjoy a good capirinha. Thanks pousada Aguapé.

This is the most amazing place I have ever stayed. The location is absolutely astounding with so much wildlife to see in the hotel grounds. The excursions are well organised and very personal (we were pretty the only people on all of our trips). The guides really make an effort to show you the best of the Pantanal and all of the animals. The hotel facilities are also fantastic. The pool is very nice and well maintained. The rooms are luxuriously appointed and the bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. The food in the hotel was delicious at breakfast, lunch and dinner - real home cooked Brazilian food. We liked the self serve bar concept too, it made things more relaxed. Finally, the staff are the key highlight. The woman on front reception spoke impeccable English and was so helpful and kind (including sorting our transfers). Then staff serving food were so friendly and made us laugh watching them play with the armadillos. The tour guides were relaxed, friendly and informative and really made the trips special. I can’t recommend this place enough
