Mellia

This is a small guesthouse with several bedrooms located off a shared kitchen. The room we has was small and in need of maintenance. The bathroom door did not close properly and the doorknob came off in our hands! The bed was a bit soft and saggy. The bathroom was very small with no space between toilet and sink. With the room being off the shared kitchen, we could hear noise throughout our stay. Since we were the only guests at the time, we assume it was the owners. The kitchen was fully equipped, so it was nice to have access to it for self-catering. Not absolutely necessary, though as the guest house is within a couple of blocks walk to the centre of Ancient Olympia where there are a few restaurants. It is also within a short walk to the archeological site. The AC/Heat worked well. There is parking directly across the street from the guesthouse in a muddy field (it rained heavily just before we arrived). The owner met us on site after communicating with us while we were driving from Nafplio. The house was relatively easy to find, down a couple of small residential streets from the centre of town. It was a convenient place for a 1-night stay when visiting the archeological site of Ancient Olympia.
