The location alone is a great reason to stay here. And ideal if you’re travelling with a pooch. Breakfast on the terrace watching ospreys was probably the highlight but all round good food and comfortable rooms make this the ideal getaway. Really friendly staff.

This was our third trip to Galley of Lorne and as usual thoroughly enjoyed it. After a long day touring on motorbikes we were checked in straight away and although the bar didn’t open until 5, the very helpful lady on reception made sure we were settled well before then with a nice glass of wine We stayed in The Skye suite which was very comfortable. We had dinner in restaurant overlooking the loch which was very good Staff were very accommodating and made sure we had a very enjoyable time Will be back in the not too distant future

The location is perfect, and a lot of work has clearly gone into making the Galley a first rate place to stay. Everyone was friendly and helpful and the food was excellent too. Very fine porridge! The large extension in which we had our dinners was spectacular - large, bright and airy with a fabulous view down the loch. It complements the breakfast room, which was more snug and would be cosy in winter. A lively and well-stocked bar completes the experience.

We had a night here as part of a short trip around Argyll and the West Highlands when celebrating a wedding annivesary. The hotel is set in a stunning position within the beautiful village of Adrfern, right on the loch. Rooms, bar, restaurant and common areas are full of character, are really clean, and we were well looked after by Andrew and the team at all times. If you are ever within striking distance it would be well worth your while booking a night or two in this lovely hotel. We are going back for more in 2025.

A great location with lovely views out over the loch. The Galley of Lorne is a very welcoming and friendly hotel. Our room was very comfortable and well equipped and spotlessly clean. We had meals in the main dining room and the bar, both were excellent. Will definitely stay there again.

Four of us stayed at the Galley of Lorne while visiting Kilmartin Glen - and wished we had booked a longer visit as we loved the Inn. We had excellent rooms - warm, clean, well-furnished and spacious and all the staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Our meal in the restaurant was equally good - as was breakfast the next morning. We'd highly recommend the Galley of Lorne and we will definitely stay here again; its an ideal base while visiting the wider area.

Our second visit. The Skye room had beautiful views over the loch, the room was comfortable and had complementaries throughout. The shower was excellent. The accommodation was well maintained. The staff were friendly, approachable and very helpful. We ate both nights and the food was amazing, definitely recommend the Galley of Lorne and will be returning.

We spent two very relaxing nights in The Galley of Lorne with a fine spell of weather. Our room and bathroom were perfectly comfortable. It was nice to hear birdsong from the garden hedge in the mornings. Breakfast and dinner were perfect including catering for our vegan. A real treat to dine overlooking Loch Craignish. We had a superb day in Kilmartin Glen and Museum.
