The rooms have such a nice view, it almost makes you oversee the many updates needed. I stay in 2 different room on 2 different occasions and can say that all rooms appear to be the same. The sunset view is out of this world and the staff I dealt with were amazing! Some spoke excellent English and others did their best and we made it work. Having said that, the rooms need help. The sinks were cracked, the floors needed refinishing, the bathroom lights were popping off, there was rust all over. Would I stay here again, yes absolutely, but don’t let the online photos fool you. The restaurant had amazing food and I had the best mojito of my life (passion fruit mojito).

Beautiful location in a peaceful area. Walkable to the city centre. Very nice promenade walk to the lighthouse and back. Simple, comfortable rooms with amazing views of the ocean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Some of the nicest food we ate in Chile. Good value for money.

This place is very special. We agree entirely re: the need for a refresh, especially in the rooms but it is otherwise incredible. A shoutout to Franco who goes above and beyond. Meals are great and the views are out of this world. It was hard to leave. It is hard to explain that even with the need for refreshing this place is one of our top favorites.

I'm probably being generous with this rating but I really liked this hotel. The rooms are slightly rustic but really tastefully done. Even though the room feels slightly weathered by the proximity to the sea, it adds to its attractiveness. The hotel is outside town so not too much in the area but the walk along the adjoining beachfront is very pleasant. Very good evening meal and breakfast and they have a bar service. The restaurant area outside is great for breakfast. The seagulls are very noisy but they go elsewhere when the sun sets so you can get a good night's sleep. Would happily have stayed here for an extra day or two.

A very special hotel, just on the beach. All wood structure. Nice breakfast. We highly recommended it. We just came for one evening before our Atacama trip but were very impress. We did not expect this kind of hotel in this remote city. The room itself is semple but the view !! wow

What a wonderful hotel. I booked this stay for 2 nights to decompress after a busy backpacking trip around Chile. It is incredibly clean, peaceful and so unique. I enjoyed sitting on my balcony or in the communal areas all day...just admiring the waves, the locals playing around the reefs, and the occasional pup rolling around in the sand. When I first booked I wasn't sure if I'd be able to swim because it all seems pretty rocky & with lots of waves...turns out there's a perfect little cove which almost feels like the hotels private pool. It was perfect for some cooling down after sunbathing. The free breakfast was plenty. I only had 1 dinner there and it was delicious. The location is a bit far from the main area if you don't have a car...about 30min walking. I only went once to stock up on supplies and didn't have to go back. There are a few great restaurants along the coast that are less than 10 minutes away if you're just looking for a nice dinner out or sunset cocktail - though in my opinion, your balcony with a nice glass of wine is the best location for sunset viewing. My one suggestion is to add a fan to the room. It was HOT in there...and there's no window top open, just the full balcony door so I didn't want that open all night. Wonderful stay...worth the trek up to Arica. :)

It’s almost as perfect as you could imagine, with one big but. We spent three idyllic days here, reading and watching the ocean including seals and hundreds of birds. The rooms are on two levels, each with a private balcony, literally 20m from the water, give or take a few meters depending on whether the tide is in or out. There’s a swimming pool - it’s the ocean! But they’ve built a little wall around it for protection . The water is pretty cold. You can’t swim when the tide is out for obvious reasons! Our room was delightful - quite rustic in character. Very comfortable bed, a powerful shower and lots of shelves to put things. There are several very pleasant communal areas with self service tea and coffee, books and magazines. The restaurant is lovely. It’s partially open air and you’ll need a cardigan as it’s chilly when there’s an onshore wind. Food and service were both good. Top tip - if you want to eat there in the evening you need to book and pre-order. They give you copious amounts of information but we must have missed this detail. They kindly accommodated us but understandably we had to wait until everyone else had been served and we had no choice - fair enough. Breakfast was very pleasant too. Reception staff are very welcoming, helpful and speak excellent English. So far all perfect. However, we asked reception to book us a taxi to the airport. It never turned up. Luckily Uber is very reliable and even better we caught our flight. I had already written this review and had given 5*. Rather than making this complaint public we sent a WhatsApp to the hotel but they never responded. A simple apology would have been enough. Hence a public comment and only 4 star.

It’s the sort of place you never want to leave. In fact if you decide to book we may still be here.
