The location is very near to the beach. However you do need to know its an uphill (literslly uphill) walk from the beach to the hotel. Please also take note that if there is anyone from your group has a bad knee or unable to go up alot of staircase, please reconsider staying here as there are alot of uphill staircase. Also, do avoid using any luggage that has wheels as it may not be the best suited. In terms of the room, it was basic. No great comments as it was very basic. The view of course is fantastic, as it faces the beach. I personally felt it was pricey for the room we got. Breakfast was good and very filling. Has a great view as well and staff are really friendly.

Amazing views from the hill to Joao Fernandez beach. Nice service, they are very kind. Fair rooms with very good access to the Internet (everywhere). Excellent breakfast and very tasty food at the restaurant. Awesome view from the pool and the restaurant at the top of the hotel.

the hotel has a very good location with about 100 m to one of the best beach in Buzios. Sometimes people complain about the large number of steps to reach the hotel and room, but it should be noted that the hotel has a special lift for guests, and obvious, If you want to get a good view, you need to climb the mountain. I took a trip from the 18th to the 24th of March, stable weather, very hot and clear skies with little wind. The hotel is very comfortable and charming, the hotel staff are very attentive, I stayed in the room next to the reception. Breakfast is wonderful, the breakfast attendants are extremely polite and friendly, the view from the restaurant at the top of the hotel is very beautiful and you can see the entire beach of João Fernandes, Búzios. This same restaurant gives access to a very beautiful infinity pool that provides a wonderful view and beautiful photos. The hotel also offers a separate lunch, snack and dinner service with delicious dishes. It is no longer necessary to climb several flights of stairs. Currently, there is a follicular elevator that takes you to the highest floor of the hotel. This elevator has an attendant available at all times. The cleanliness of the hotel is exquisite and done with great care and attention, the bathrooms are very good, they have cold and hot water, all the devices in the bathroom are working properly. The rooms have new air conditioning and a very comfortable bed, the bedding is soft and clean, towels are changed frequently, the rooms have cable TV and the internet works correctly via Wi-Fi. I loved my stay and I will definitely come back again because excellent service must be recognized and exalted. I thank all the staff of the Hotel Búzios Mar Hotel.

Incredible view of Joao Fernandes beach, very good location 1 block from the beach, very comfortable and spacious rooms with sea view, very well equipped, excellent breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff, 2 very good swimming pools, very good wi fi service.

I purchased the master bedroom with a sea view and they put me in a terrible, small room, with a view of the street, broken sockets and a toilet that didn't work. Upon arrival we were very poorly received by the staff, the breakfast was very poor, there weren't even any eggs and access to the pool area was very improvised. Worst experience I've ever had in a hotel.
