Villa da Butik Otel

Very nice river view and mountain view Nice, clean, spacious room, we stayed in the 2bedroom villa Friendly welcoming staff Nice food in hotel restaurant It is winter and the room feels too hot so we open windows No curtain in main bedroom, almost transparent blind, it's too bright from outside light, we stacking up pillows to cover it 😃😃

We thought this was a gold mine of a place. So intimate with the waters and mountains with a chalet-like feel. So unexpected to experience. The rooms were large and comfortable. There was a problem with the bathroom smelling like sewer though. We had a delicious evening meal and the breakfast area had ample buffet style food. I would recommend this place and would have given five stars, if it were not for the smell in the bathroom.

Positives A haven for little kids who’ll enjoy a splash in the micro pool The breakfast buffet is varied and fresh, in fact, the head chef runs a very tight ship in the kitchen over all. Dinners were of good quality. The young man who carries the luggage for all the guests should be awarded some kind of reward for his positive attitude. Negatives Overpriced We upscaled from a one bed room (which overlooked the boom to the parking bay; had filthy carpets and a dripping airconditioner (unto the table we were to enjoy the view on the parking lot from) to an A frame hut which upon first sight is very cute. We were told there were absolutely no other units available at all, although by the sight of the balconies, all the units looked unoccupied. When we booked into the A frame bungalow, there was a small wet patch at the entrance, which I assumed was from occupents having a last swim before final departure, but as the day progressed, the floor turned into a swamp. When I showed the manager, he said it was nothing and would I like a Turkish coffee. I need not say anymore.

This hotel is a prime example of how the word "Butik, (Boutique)" is being used for laces that do not deserve that name. This hotel is nothing else but a corporate built and run hotel with what goes with that. The receptionist/s were terrible and put us into a room that overlooks the boom and security shed. Breakfast is good but that is where it ends. For the money asked I would rather steer clear of this place.
