I stayed at Art Hotel twice. The first time was great, they gave me a deluxe room on the top floor. This recent trip, I was put in a side room which had not been cleaned - human hairs had been wiped all over the scuffed up walls, and even little moleskine band-aids were stuck all over the bathroom. This was really shocking considering how luxury the hotel feels from the lobby. I think MyStays corporate would be interested to know that one of their properties is being run this badly. Is this one of those super racist Japanese hotels where, if you're a foreigner they don't even want you there? So they try to get rid of you by putting you in the worst room? There's no excuse for this. The cleaning team should at the very least be penalized for not doing their job. This is a hygiene problem as well as terrible for your reputation, and following this trip I won't ever invest my money in a MyStays chain hotel . Whoever the General Manager of Art Hotels, that person is a liability for the entire company based on this experience.
