We stayed just 2 nights whilst visiting family, couldn’t really fault anything other than not being able to get a drink on a Sunday night. The service was very welcoming, food in the restaurant was exceptional. Rooms were comfortable and spotless. Beautiful location in a pretty village. Will definitely return.

Celebrated my parents 50th wedding anniversary in the restaurant at the weekend. Attentive and professional staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Bought cake to share with coffee at end of meal which was also no trouble. Food was delicious.

Great expectations for Friday fish night, unfortunately what looks good on the web site doesn’t match reality. Well over cooked fish in dark batter, small amount of mushy peas and chips. It was ok nothing more, it simply did not come close to the images on their site. We attended with others and to be honest, I would in future Simple’s go to my local fish and chip shop.

We’ve stayed and dined at Hall Farm on several occasions now,and will keep going back time after time!! Everything about the place is amazing, from the warm welcome we receive from the legend that is Alan 🙂 -always the perfect mix of friendliness balanced with utter professionalism- to the gorgeous rooms and AMAZING food, this place is really somewhere special. Whether it’s been for a large party for a birthday meal, or just a table for two, we can’t fault anything at all about Hall Farm and are lucky to have it in our doorstep. Keep up the excellent work!!

Attended a wedding held at the hotel and was so impressed with the venue, service, staff, rooms, food, everything! Surroundings are beautiful. The staff went out of their way to ensure that everything went smoothly. Love the special touches in the bedroom and in the bathroom, would loved to have taken advantage of the bath time menu. Very reasonably priced too. Highly recommend.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Hall Farm. Super location. Rural situation however conveniently placed Ample parking. The Grainsby was a lovely room with very comfortable beds. A good variety on the menu and the specials board Thoroughly enjoyable evening meal and breakfast the following morning. Reasonably priced.

As a local resident, I've been here many times. Food is good and staff are pleasant. However, we get turned away more often than allowed to dine recently with the excuse they are full. Tonight there were about 10 other people in the restaurant so just seems they can't really be bothered. We went elsewhere where they were more than happy for our custom. Won't be returning in a hurry unfortunately.

my husband and myself went for our Sunday lunch, the staff were pleasant and helpful, unfortunately some of the food was disappointing; my husbands roast beef was good but he had to ask the waitress to pour some gravy off his plate, apart from not liking a lot of gravy it was swimming in it, the rest of the meal he enjoyed. I requested roast chicken ,chorizo and veg, it arrived in a bowl filled with mixed leaves and many many quartered tomatoes, some potatoes and some rubbery chorizo with some sort of watery warm gravy. the chicken was dry. suffice to say , I could only eat a small amount; most of it I left. A young waiter did come over during the meal and asked if everything was ok, and when I told him about my meal he was very apologetic . when my husband settled the bill he mentioned about my meal served in a bowl and said I hadn't eaten much and was told that I should have asked for a plate, there was no mention of my earlier complaint to the waiter. we were charged full price.
