Fantastic service. Quaint rooms, comfortable beds and great breakfast. Owners went out of their way to get vegetarian alternatives, and were generally very welcoming and friendly. Affordable and close proximity to Canterbury City, would 100% recommend to everyone. Also a gorgeous dog on site!

Literally the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, absolutely stinks of stale cigarette smoke. Two massive barking dogs. Dirty room. Shower inadequate. Hosts rude. Breakfast was just thrown in front of you, no options just given a full English. Not asked for any allergies or dietary requirements etc.

I have never stayed in a worse place in my life! It is hard to find anything that l could compliment! They keep dangerous dogs who attacked our two small terriers on 2 occasions over a 1 night stay! The room was horrid, the shower didn’t work, there was neither air conditioning nor a fan to help with the overpowering heat of the day! The room faced out directly onto a main road with traffic passing constantly. Therefore, with no other option we had to keep the window open for ventilation and had no sleep whatsoever. The room was very small with not even space for a chair to sit on. The toilet would not flush! Mr MacNamara the owner was an extremely obtuse character who appeared to be indifferent to the fact that his dogs were out of control. He also tried to charge us £ 60 for allowing our dogs to stay, which he quickly reduced to £40 when my wife protested! Having had the utter temerity to complain about this sham of a place, our room key suddenly disappeared! How could that happen when we had at no point taken it with us?? Of course he then charged us an extra £70 for a replacement. Breakfast was a joke! I have had better at transport cafés. He certainly knows how to charge for abysmal service. Take my advice and look through the litany of other reviews before you book. It may well save you big problems.

The owners are alcoholic lunatics. The female wanted my fiance! The man accused us of stealing!! What we were never sure !! No hit water. Dogs that we were told "will rip our cat apart". Breakfast was delivered in, god forbid should the female get her hands dirty!! Awful at £100 a night. Demanded a refund as he had stolen some things from us ie firestick 😡🤬

We found our stay of one night to be adequate. The room was clean but basic. The breakfast was very nice but only offered cooked, no cereal yogurt or juice . The owners were pleasant and engaging but weren’t around to let us in, we had to wait in the car park for quite a while for a neighbour to come down.

The most terrible experience l have ever had at the hands of an inexperienced Londoner, who had little or no idea how to treat clients! Shower broken, room very pokey, no cooling system, noisy main road immediately outside the window! They have 2 very dangerous dogs, who attacked our dogs then blamed us for bringing the dogs in the first place! Breakfast mediocre! If you book and decide to complain, then make sure you know where your room key is!! Ours mysteriously disappeared whilst we were trying to eat breakfast! £ 70 charge for a replacement! AVOID!!!

Shower didn’t work, toilet didn’t flush, no chair in room to sit on, room on busy road so very noisy all night. No cooling equipment though owner said fan was in wardrobe! It wasn’t! Breakfast only average and for the price we paid i.e. £90 for room, £40 for dogs and £ 70 for replacement key, l think l was robbed!! Owners language was full of expletives and we were referred to as “mate & love” throughout! Outrageous price for dogs, £60 reduced to £40 after we complained bitterly! Talking of dogs, our dogs were attacked by their Alaskan Malamutes on 2 occasions in the short overnight that we stayed there and no form of apology was offered on either occasion! They were breeding from the ***** and claimed they were pets! If you read about Malamutes, they are bred to be in wide open spaces, pulling sledges etc, not stuck in a poky little inn with very little space! We were charged £60 for a room key we did not lose but were unable to prove! Asked for a refund of money which was not forthcoming. There is so much wrong with this place, l have had to report to trading standards and ***********. Before you book l would suggest that you read through the myriad of adverse reactions by house guests!
