Aso Uchinomaki Onsen Yumeoiso

Uchimaki Onsen is a family hot spring hotel, suitable for families. There are multiple hot spring baths. The most exciting thing is that there is Japanese black beef yakiniku all-you-can-drink dinner. You can drink beer when eating yakiniku. There is unlimited alcohol here. After dinner, you can go back to the hot spring.

June 14, 2024 The weather was fine. It was a weekday (Friday) on the day of my stay, but it was very crowded. After checking in, I moved to my room. I immediately went to the bath (open-air observation bath). I took a relaxing bath while looking at the Aso mountains in the distance! For dinner, I had the limited-time menu as usual. The ingredients this time were kuruma shrimp and clams, both of which were delicious.

This is a retro-style inn with a Showa-era feel. The wallpaper was peeling in places, giving the room the feel of an old guesthouse. The towels in the room and in the bathroom were so stiff that they had been used a lot and were so hard that it made my skin sting when I wiped my face with them. It was my first experience. Is the indoor washroom a consideration for hygiene management? It's a paper towel. This is also my first experience. The supplies were disappointing, but so was the service. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of items, and I really liked the onigiri service that included Aso specialties.

I stayed with my three families including my grandchildren and children. I understand that they are busy during the high customer season, but the staff's response is poor...or rather, their explanations are insufficient. I tried to call the front desk to ask a question, but I couldn't get through. Buffets and events are designed for children, but they are terrible for people who want a relaxing bath and delicious meals. The room is smelly, the hallway is narrow, and the toilet stinks. I booked a non-smoking room, but it smelled like cigarettes and I couldn't relax. The inside of the building, which has probably been expanded and renovated many times, is old and maze-like, and even if you ignore the filth, you're still worried in the event of a fire.

Dinner and breakfast included, 2 people stayed here. Both were buffet style. I enjoyed a lot of variety in both. I felt that the quality was higher in the morning than in the evening. For dinner, you might not want to go for a buffet, but neither the meat nor the sashimi exceeded my expectations. In the morning, they made rice balls for me, they had everything I wanted in the morning, and they were delicious. I think I'll just have breakfast the next time I go.
