Hotel de Bonte Wever Assen

Nice clean middle grade hotel, does what it stays , friendly helpful staff from ordering food to booking taxi .. our 3rd visit best place to stay for txt circuit, it’s within walking distance, entertainment available in wing of hotel at night ,

We chose to stay here whilst attending a wedding party with relatives. We had struggled to find a hotel in Groningen as there was a famous band playing and accommodation was either scarce or expensive. So although a little drive away, this hotel fitted the bill. There is free parking for guests and this is located around the hotel block. The reception staff were friendly and booking in was convenient and hassle free. The rooms are well presented and clean, with shower rooms and tea and coffee making facilities available. Within the complex there are a number of bars and restaurants as well as play areas and an arcade area. Although we never participated, there was entertainment and children’s activities on offer as well as swimming, bikes to hire, a spa and bowling. In our country we would call this a holiday camp rather than a hotel. The buffet breakfast was lovely and lots of outdoor seating available. We loved our stay here and although brief, we would consider coming back should we have a need to visit The Netherlands in the future. Thank you 🙏

Hotel is clean and tidy typical of a business type .. staff friendly and helpful , breakfast was just okay, the main sell point is the location 40 min walk to tt circuit , town is probably more than a walk for the average person, we taxied after the first ..

Room ok, cleaning not great, dirty glasses not replaced, bathroom not cleaned . Yea/coffee not replenished, had to ask If you are all inclusive great but if not staff not interested in serving you . Is like a uk holiday camp style great if you like that but not for us. Good location for Assen centre but is a good 25min walk . Not what I would expect as a 4* hotel

All in all a nice place. The rooms and the hotel were really clean and put together. The wellness was not as big as it looks on pictures and jacuzzi was weirdly only mildly warm. The room and the hotel were both really cold?! We tried to set the termostat to 22 degrees but it never started to warm up the room. It was all in all very cold everywhere in the hotel. The food was also average at best, the breakfast buffet was okay, but after eating three times at the hotel‘s restaurant, i can say it was really tasteless and average. Service personal was really nice.
