It’s one of if not the best hotel in Aswan, situated in an exclusive island with an amazing view of the Nile and Nubian village. The staff was super comforting and lovely. There’s a shuttle boat that runs 24 hours to the main center of Aswan. I had an incredible time here. <3
Every day when I return to the room, it is carefully decorated and my clothes are carefully organized. The Nile River outside at dusk is the most beautiful scenery. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and we were very satisfied. The only drawback was that there were not many meal options, probably because of Ramadan. I don't understand why lunch and dinner cost the same but the amount of fries is three times the amount. The service staff was very nice and attentive. They knew it was my birthday and sent me a surprise, which was very unexpected to me. The birthday cake was the most delicious dessert I have ever had in Egypt. 💕
The Hotel was really beautiful, excellent facilities with nice architecture and decoration, impressive view to the Nile from the rooms, very clean and comfortable common areas and room. Relaxing and private setting. Unique experience. The service was good but we have some miscommunication problems with the staff serving at the restaurant. For us communicating in English with them was difficult, and it cost us some problems with our consumption and food bill. There is some room for improvement for the Hotel in that regards. Although the location for us was really nice for other guest or tourist may prove a problem, as it is not of easy access. Although the hotel offers a shuttle boat to mainland, we had to go through some long waits at mainland to get the ride. Without having a phone to call well in advance for transportation it becomes really different to access the hotel. We were lucky that our tour guide in Aswan, had his local phone and could always help us contacting the hotel and getting the boat for us.

This is a very contradictory B&B hotel that I don't know if it is worth recommending. Its shortcomings and advantages are very prominent. It is suitable for Internet celebrities to make photos (the following photos are all original photos without retouching), but it is not suitable for anyone who has certain requirements for ”accommodation” itself. If you can find any cheap + clean + similar scenery alternative hotel, it is recommended to change it, but if it is just for taking pictures and scenery, it may be ranked at the top in Nubian Village.
First of all, you have to be able to tolerate:
1. The hotel price is not cost-effective in the peak season, and the B&B offers the price of a five-star hotel.
2. Poor room facilities, rough-style furniture and narrow rooms, worrying bed sheets, bathroom shower water overflowing and drainage is useless, no slippers, toothbrushes, hair dryers (phone front desk can provide).
3. The breakfast is self-service and extremely simple and unpalatable, unlike some people who commented on the set and inexplicably praised it.
4. Tolerate or pay more to continue to tolerate the complaints of the chartered driver to drive into Nubian Village, and then contact the hotel by yourself in the middle of the night to change to a three-wheeled motorcycle in the deserted and dark mountains for 15 minutes to doubt life and reach the mountaintop hotel.
5. Other prices are very unreasonable. We originally wanted to book dinner for the New Year's Eve party, but it cost 100 US dollars per person...
What did we get here?
1. The balcony of the room can see the unbeatable sunrise on the west bank of the Nile. We witnessed the first light of 2025 here at 6 am.
2. The various poses in the cultural buildings of the Nubian Village are very photogenic.
3. The desert next to the hotel is very photogenic.
4. A very special cultural experience of a group of tourists jumping up and down the mountain in a row of three-wheeled vehicles.
5. The hotel service staff is relatively friendly. Finally, it is explained that Egypt is not a country where tipping is allowed. Carrying luggage is a basic service of any hotel in their country. No one asked for tips during the entire stay.
The hotel is on the hill, the environment is very beautiful, there is a small pool, the restaurant and the big pool are under the mountain. You can enjoy the beautiful view of the Nile in the room, which is really beautiful. The waiters are hospitable and attentive. They have unfinished snacks and fruits every day. Knowing that we have no time to eat breakfast, we specially prepared two large bags of breakfast for us to eat on the road. It was so intimate. The room was clean and tidy, the facilities were very new, the waiter would fold a small snake for us every day, stayed for three days, it was different, thank you very much! I like this hotel very much.
The design of the room is very beautiful, the design of the hotel is also very beautiful, but the breakfast is very simple (coarse grain pancakes every day), it is cold when I wake up at 8 o'clock in the morning, there are few varieties, and the layout is also rather random. No one cleaned the room on the second night, and no mineral water was provided. Flies came into the room at night when I lived on the first floor, and I was asked to check out at 11 o'clock in the morning. The transportation recommended by the hotel to Philae Temple and the tour to Elephant Island were all charged higher than the market price.
What you see is what you get, very cute place. The whole village is super cute in dopamine style! Breakfast is delicious, you can eat on the balcony and the scenery is particularly good, directly see the Nile! The sister of the homestay also took me to touch the little crocodile for free! Super experience! This small village is especially suitable for hanging out and relaxing for a leisurely day!
There aren't many hotels in this remote place like Aswan, so don't ask too much. Those who have been to Egypt know the situation of hotels, so there's no need to say more. This hotel doesn't provide water, so you may need to prepare it in advance. The balcony can see the Nile River, with a road in the middle. The guy at the front desk was very enthusiastic. I asked about taking the bus to Abu Simbel. I didn't have time to eat breakfast because I had to catch the bus. In fact, judging from the results, it was edible. It was very fast to take a taxi from the hotel to the bus station, and the bus was also slow and started half an hour late. Going there early was mainly to buy tickets in advance to avoid the tickets being sold out due to the large crowds, although it was unlikely.
This small hotel is in a small village. I went in February. It was dry and cold. The air conditioner could be cooled. The wind in the door was very strong. The panoramic room had a balcony on one side and it was colder. Sara at the front desk is more professional and can ask her if she needs to ask, but she goes to work at 10 am. The one in charge of the bar was very unreliable. The pot of hot water for us was unwashed. The pot of milk was released. The water soaked was all paste. The food and hygiene were completely untrustworthy. And sold us two bottles of water. We didn't order it, he took it directly to us. So we thought it was breakfast, and finally showed us the price list and asked us for money. I said you didn't tell us, he said you didn't ask. Aswan's first stop impression is therefore very poor!

Outstanding
CCaihongyuyuThe hotel is located on a row of pink granite on the banks of the Nile in Aswan, across the river from the black rock Elephantine Island. The balconies of some rooms overlook the world's longest river, with excellent scenery. The hotel has a long history and still retains its original Victorian elegance, recreating the mythical luxury. The collision of the Moorish dome, Byzantine arches and Arabic colors in the room is extremely elegant and romantic. The famous Suite 1201 where Agatha once stayed for a long time was a pity that I didn't have the chance to see it.
This hotel also has the famous 1902 French restaurant, which is named after Churchill who stayed there in 1902. Dinner requires reservations and formal dining. Guests staying in the hotel have free breakfast here every day, so they can get a glimpse of it. It is a classic old-fashioned elegance, but it is a pity that the beauty is old. I prefer the Terrace restaurant, which is located on the terrace outside the lobby bar and overlooks the entire Nile River. Sitting here while eating delicious food and watching the Nile River is like watching the history of Egypt, and I can't bear to blink.
BBON970The B&B has three rooms. The rooms are newly renovated, small and clean. We got room 3. We can see the Nile River in the morning light through the window. The welcome drink mango juice is delicious. You need to take a ferry at KFC for 10 EUR/person/time to the B&B. If you don't mind waiting for the boat and carrying a 26-inch luggage up the stairs, you can consider it.
YYilmaz KalafatogluHIGHLY RECOMMENDED! First of all it is like a staying with your family far from home, in a very tourist welcoming area in general but also the hotel. All Nubian people are welcoming and honest; especially if you are coming from somewhere other than Egypt you will feel refreshed getting rid of bargaining. Hotel arranged an Abu Simbel transportation (which was 3 hours away)with lunch box for us early in the morning at 04:00 am we came back around 1 pm and take a tour to Philae Temple then came back to hotel (which was our cozy home) and Ahmed took us to village as a local, guided as and provided fair prices, we experienced their culture seeing the magnificently painted surroundings also jumping in local houses with tortoise and crocodiles, and they have provided us transportation to Aswan Train Station. I even felt sad because of leaving a place with full of brothers. Thanks to Ahmed (both), Ms Mai, Mohammed and Islam. It was an amazing experience, you shall not say i’ve visited Egypt before seeing Nubian Village.
GGuest UserThis homestay is definitely worthy of five-star praise. The room is very new and clean, with all kinds of facilities, especially the service is super thoughtful. The front desk lady is a beautiful girl, fluent in English, considerate, and patiently helped us order dinner takeaway and arrange the itinerary. The other two guys are average in English, but their attitudes are very enthusiastic. The hotel includes breakfast, but we have to leave for Abu Simbel at 6 o'clock in the morning, so we thought we wouldn't bother. As a result, when we went downstairs at 5:30, the concierge handed each of us a bag with packaged bread, cakes and drinks in it, which was convenient for us to eat on the road. I was instantly moved. This service is really thoughtful😭
The only regret is that the location of the hotel is relatively remote. In the Nubian area on the west bank of Aswan, it is easy to get lost even with navigation. In addition, the road conditions are not good, and the driver may get stuck halfway, so it may be difficult to get a taxi. We relied on the front desk guy to constantly give directions to the driver on the phone twice to get it done.
DDanjiyouYou need to take a boat to the island, and the boat is very fast, usually every ten minutes, and you will pass by the beautiful scenery that Agatha saw, so it is very worthwhile. The Nile view room is also great for watching the sunrise. The hotel is also very clean, and the facilities are not as bad as they say. It feels like a 5-star hotel in China, and the outside is very beautiful. Breakfast is a lot of desserts, eat some vegetable salad to supplement vitamins. The only thing is that the sleeping pills I put on the bedside were taken away by the cleaner.
WWoaizanjiaxiangPros: A newly renovated small hotel; the rooms are large and new; the breakfast is quite rich; the view is very good, and the Nile River is not far from the hotel;
Cons: It is located on the dirt slope on the east bank of the Nile River, surrounded by farmhouses. It is connected to the main road by several small dirt roads. If you drive there by yourself, like us, it is difficult to find, and Google Maps will make it difficult for you to find it. We searched for a long time and couldn't find it. Finally, we asked a waiter from a hotel called Sunset to take us there in our car. When we got there, we found out that it was not far from the Sunset Hotel.
FFeliciayangThe scenery of the hotel is very good, the Nile River can be seen from the restaurant, and the breakfast is not bad. The room facilities are relatively simple, similar to those of old domestic 3-star hotels. The bedsheets are a bit lacking in hygiene. Bring your own bedsheets. There are no USB charging ports, slippers, etc. The hotel is in an upper location, 20 minutes away from KFC, and there are few restaurants nearby. My friend who was traveling with me booked a room at Qunar. When I checked in, I was told that there was no reservation, so I almost didn't get it. Ctrip is relatively reliable.
ЕЕленаВасExcellent hotel, service at the highest level! Everything we asked at the reception was done in a flash. Very nice, calm and friendly staff, doing their job at 5. And most importantly - the view from the window to the Nile. From the open terrace of the hotel restaurant, by the way, there is also a very beautiful view.
GGuest UserAmazing time ,basic rooms ,but clean beds towels. Hot shower and the best view but 100% of the credit for our amazing time goes, to helma the manager and his staff especially khalid who was there for everything we needed , Helmy went above and beyond driving us to the sights for less than.a taxi , but the most amazing was. The Nile under our Balcony full of. Feluka boats to take you to ancient temples and delicious waterside cafes and historic islands this hotel might look nothing.but if you want the true Nubian experience of aswanth8s 8s the place for you ,basic breakfast of bread honey eggs and cheese with tomatoes for the price amazing ,, Linda and ivy uk x
GGuest UserThe room I booked has a view of the Nile River. The location is also better. The room is big enough. The shower head leaks a little. Everything else is fine. However, I recommend you to book on-site at the hotel front desk. The price will be much cheaper than booking online. Based on my order For example, it will be 1/3 cheaper.
The average price for hotels in Aswan is AED 469 on weekdays, and AED 465 on weekends (Friday-Saturday).
