Atami Onsen Guest House Megumi

It was a nice place for solo and if you come by train. it’s pretty hard to come by car for less parking spot. But others is totally fine!

Nice place with friendly staff, good location, nice onsen.

I stayed at this guesthouse in Atami last December and had a pleasant experience overall. The location is quite convenient, as it’s close to Atami Station. There is a short uphill walk to reach the guesthouse, but it’s still manageable. Overall, I would rate the guesthouse 8/10. The main thing to note is that, as it’s a guesthouse, the bathroom and toilet are shared. There is also an onsen available on-site, though it requires an additional fee (which is not expensive). The onsen operates on a time schedule since it’s shared between male and female guests. The host was friendly and welcoming. I didn’t really get the chance to use facilities like the dining area or the rooftop, but the dining area has a balcony with a nice sea view, which looked great. Another big plus is that the guesthouse is within walking distance of Atami Heiwa-dōri Shopping Street, making it very convenient for food and shopping.

Despite the most lovely staff, I have to say this propery is very outdated and my capsule of the bunk bed smelled terrible of old sweat and bad body odor. You have to pay for a body towel, first face towel is free and usage of (dirty; like dirty onsen tiles in the water) onsen is ¥150.

Very clean and good location. Can view nice hanabi from the guesthouse. Many thanks to the owner good advise on watching the hanabi. Nice onsen as well. Friendly reminder to bring own amenities (including tower).

very good view at Atami, especially if you are attending the hanami festivals. Great accommodation for families and friends

Good location, and the hostel with hot spring, very nice view, you can watch the fireworks on the rooftop!

The view on the roof is amazing~ I really like to stay here, the location is so convenient. I stay in the dorm room, the bed is good to sleep.
