I stayed here for one night in late January. Perhaps as a COVID-19 measure, I was picked up and dropped off by taxi. There is a lovely inn after climbing up a narrow road to a fairly high altitude. The bamboo and carp in the pond create a sense of elegance and are wonderful. I rented a room on the second floor with an indoor bath with natural hot spring water. The building and room are very spacious. Upon arrival, we were given welcome matcha and delicious Japanese sweets, and a bottle of wine as a service. We also received a fruit platter (apparently it's OK to have it after dinner). The welcome was very luxurious. Meals are also served in the room with a table and chairs, so you don't have to sit upright, which is helpful as your feet don't hurt. The indoor bath was salty, a bit brown and cloudy... It felt different from the simple hot spring, which was very good. It was good that the hot spring water was easy to adjust. The food was luxurious Japanese for both breakfast and dinner. There was a lot of food, including spiny lobster, abalone, and steak... I couldn't finish it all. The chef was very skilled and the saltiness was just right, so the food was delicious. The room also came with Dolce Gusto coffee, so I could have a cafe latte whenever I wanted, and they even put water in the fridge, so the service was great. I also forgot to bring my smartphone charger, but I was able to borrow one from the inn, which was helpful. On the premises (if you climb up the hill), there is a horse that you can feed carrots to and a foot bath. If the weather is good, I think the view from there is amazing. There seem to be many family baths (private), so next time I'd like to make a reservation at the front desk and use one. I'm sure the view is great. From the welcome to the many wonderful services, it was a heartwarming and wonderful trip. Thank you to all the staff.
