Mövenpick El Sokhna

I got used to visit this resort. Probably the best option in the area. This resort is ideal for all options, work, pleasure, solo, couple or family. The rooms are nice and well-equipped, where better rooms have a full or partial sea view. TV with a bit limited satellite channels, and fairly good wifi as well. The pool is nice with a view over the mountain and the sea. While the tiny beach is ok but the water is not that nice since it is full of spiky seashells. Breakfast is good, but dinner is not always that good, especially desserts. The hotel garden is not bad with little ponds over a riverlike fountain. The resort is highly recommended, and I will definitely visit again

Absolutely amazing place, staff are so friendly! When we arrived everyone waved, remembered us as this is the third time we have arrived. Ammar and Ibrahim at the pool are both friendly, accommodating to all nationalities and ages. Ibrahim is my favourite and makes the most delicious chocolate milkshake and has world class customer service. Chef Mohammed Salah made me Toumaya as it’s my favourite, this was only because they heard it’s my favourite so he went out of the way to make me. Nader in the Zen bar makes the most amazing Cinderella/ Arizona sunset non alcoholic cocktail tails. Chef Islam makes the only calamari i eat, which was tender and like chicken. I felt so welcome in all places, the hotel, rooms and environment is very clean. We were half board food was amazing! So much variety and restaurant onsite for any lunch great options at brill at prices. We saw dolphins daily in the sea it was truly magical. We shall be coming back every year as it feels like home.

A good place to stay in if you’re planning for a vacation in Sokhna. But still I might have second thoughts if I ever plan to go to sokhna again. The hotel is under rennovation now so this might change after the full rennovations. The hotel staff are super friendly and nice, whenever you ask them for anything they usually do it for you in a blink of an eye. We asked for an extra bed for a triple room and it was a bit rusty and makes me uncomfortable while sleeping and we asked for an extra mattress to make it a bit comfy. Can’t say anything negative about the food, was pretty good and varied, you can enjoy some good stuff from the grill every night during the buffet, they were super tasty and were made by chef Mohamed Sobhy, he’s super nice, professional, a very good cook and so friendly. Activities at night are okay, every night there is a show, or a singer and the animation team is good. The beach is walkable but needs minor modifications to get better. Pool is really good with a small bar to order food and drinks. The overall experience is good but not as expected as a quality of a 5* hotel.

The Worst Experience at Movenpick El Sokhna Hotel I checked in on Monday, 11/2, with my trolley bag, laptop bag, and another bag containing my football. 1. From the very beginning, after receiving my room keys, no one offered to help deliver my bags to the room. 2. The room was very old, with outdated furniture and a TV with a bad signal. 3. The bathroom was also very old. The Biggest Issue: Theft and Unprofessional Staff My football was stolen from my room. When I filed a complaint, the Head of Housekeeping and the Head of Security accompanied me to search for it, but unfortunately, it was not found. I pointed out that the only person who entered my room after I left was the room service staff, and I complained about him. However, the response from the Head of Housekeeping was completely unacceptable—he raised his voice, refused to acknowledge my complaint, and even became aggressive, almost leading to a physical altercation. The Head of Reception and the Head of Security had to step in to calm the situation. The next day, when I met with the hotel manager, he told me that the room service staff had been investigated and that there were “no doubts” about him. No compensation was offered. He also mentioned that the Head of Housekeeping received a four-day penalty. I told him I would escalate the matter to the Tourism Police to ensure the situation was handled properly. When I returned to my room to check out, I suddenly found my football there. This confirmed to me that Mövenpick El Sokhna has zero professionalism and employs thieves. Highly NOT recommended!
