I had high hopes for Bob W Akadimia Athens, but unfortunately, my stay was far from pleasant. The hotel’s location, while central, is marred by constant noise from nearby bars and clubs that keep the area loud until the early hours of the morning. This made it incredibly difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The check-in process was entirely digital, which might appeal to some, but it was frustrating for me. I had trouble accessing my room due to issues with the app, and there was no one available to assist me in person. When I finally managed to get in, I found the room to be uncomfortably warm, and the air conditioning didn’t work properly. Despite reaching out for help, no fans or alternative solutions were provided. Additionally, the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. I noticed dust on surfaces and the bathroom had an unpleasant odor. The amenities were basic at best, and I expected more for the price I paid. Overall, my experience at Bob W Akadimia Athens was disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel to others, especially if you're looking for a comfortable and restful stay in Athens.

I had a very disappointing and frankly infuriating experience at this hotel, and I strongly advise anyone considering it to stay away. The hotel is heavily reliant on a mobile app to open room doors, and even under normal conditions it would take multiple frustrating attempts every single time to get the door to open. It was never smooth, never reliable. Things reached an unacceptable level when one day the app completely failed due to a network outage, and we were locked out of our room for over an hour. Worse than the technical failure was the hotel's shameful handling of the situation: it took them more than an hour to even bother informing us that we could go down to reception and get a physical key. The hotel may try to excuse this by saying the network issue was widespread across Europe, but that has nothing to do with the shocking lack of basic service and communication. As a guest, I am their responsibility. I expect help, not silence. Problems happen — but how a hotel handles them shows its true face, and this one utterly failed. They may also try to argue that this was a one-time incident. It was not. Even without the network failure, basic operations like accessing our room were a daily struggle. And on the day of checkout, the hallway leading to the elevators was filled with piles of garbage bags, making it hard and unpleasant to even move around. Such scenes belong in back alleys, not in a hotel pretending to offer hospitality. The problems didn’t end there. The view from our room was directly facing a grim, blank wall just a few meters away. No open view, no light, no air — just a wall making the room feel even more suffocating and depressing. On top of that, the hotel does not offer daily housekeeping. Unless you stay for more than a full week, you either have to clean the room yourself or live in a dirty, used space. Yes, technically this is mentioned in the small print during booking — but let's be honest: when you book a hotel, you expect the basic service of returning to a clean room at the end of the day, without having to mop, sweep, and tidy up yourself. This completely kills the feeling of being on vacation, and it's something every traveler deserves to know and seriously think about before booking here. You're not coming here to work; you're coming here to relax — and you simply won’t get that at this hotel. As for the location — it’s downright terrible. While it's technically about 15 minutes from the city center, the hotel is located in a run-down, dirty, neglected area that feels unsafe and unpleasant at all hours. Walking through the neighborhood was uncomfortable at best and borderline frightening at times. Coming back to the hotel didn’t feel like returning to a safe, welcoming place — it felt like hurrying indoors to get away from the surroundings. This is not a location you want to stay in, no matter what price you're paying. No discount, no "proximity to the center" is worth feeling unsafe and trapped. This h

Spent 4 wonderful nights here with my husband and everything was perfect for us. The small gifts and extra care for details make it our favorite place to stay whenever we visit Athens. 100% recommended for modern & tech savy travelers looking for a relaxing experience and high quality accomodation.

From the first hello by Marina to the farewells. Our 3 night stay was lovely Great location, room had everything we could possibly need. Very quiet and comfortable. You may be a little nervous when you first see the street because Athens is covered in graffiti and it can be a little dark and scary at night but honestly it’s very safe and quiet there. The hotel is lovely with all the comforts of home. I enjoyed their concept BOB W. Best of both worlds !! It really was. A lot of privacy but help when you needed. I like the paperless / contactless entries into the rooms The luggage storage while waiting for your room to be available and the balcony in our suite was nice and relaxing spot. Bathroom so large and spacious with nice amenities
