Athens Dom Hotel

Location: The hotel is praised for its prime location, allowing guests easy access to many city attractions, restaurants, and shops.

We originally chose Athens Dom: Nikiou Suites because we needed to move locations for our last evening in Athens ... and it was literally just around the corner from our previous accommodations. We decided to check it out [the day before we had to move] before we booked the room. We met Valerie ... who was very helpful and friendly. She was the reason we booked the room on the spot. The following day, we moved our luggage to the hotel [expecting to just store our luggage in the office] ... and to our surprise, Valerie informed us that our room was ready & available. Valerie gave us a fabulous recommendation for lunch ... and suggested we go to Balthazar for dinner. She secured the reservation ... and let me tell you, it was possibly the best meal we had in Athens. She also organized a taxi to pick us up in front of the hotel the following morning ... early. The room was typical European-sized room [small]. It was decorated in a very classic style and was spotless. She also informed us that this building used to be the Prime Minister's home in 1975 [?] ... which we thought was pretty cool.

You need to re-think the room lay-out . I cannot recommend staying at this hotel. There are no windows in the room . They have shutters opening onto the street level . So having them open day / night is not great as you could have access to the room. The sound proofing is not good from upper levels or somewhere. Didn’t like the washing area being in the bedroom.
