Mark and Linda were the best hosts! So friendly and welcoming! They really take pride in making sure everything is perfect! The rooms are very nice and clean. Very quiet. The breakfast was superb. So glad we stayed here vs staying in a hotel. Only a 10 min walk to town, and the B&B is in a very nice neighborhood. We would most definitely stay here again!

Could not recommend this B and B any higher. Beautiful house,very clean, excellent food, great location and friendly owners. We usually stay in hotel's in Athlone but after staying mithere we will choose Shannonside first. Michael and Evelyn. Dublin.

Very pleased with this accommodation. Hygiene excellent. Friendly and helpful hosts. Very local to town and amenities. Would definitely return and reccomend. Check in is 4pm. Bit earlier would have suited us better so we could have refreshed before going into town for food.

mark and linda very friendly and welcoming.room and bathroom spotlessly clean .tea 'coffee ,water provided in the room.the location was ideal for us. plenty of car parking space near to entrance .stay there aagain if we are ever back in athlone .top marks.

Linda and Mark are just lovely. We showed up an hour early to our check-in time and Linda was glad to show us to our room. The bed was super comfy, had a great nights sleep. Upon checking out we had a great long chat with Lina and Mark. We met their two beutiful pups Bailey and Jenny. Would highly recommend.

I’m really really disappointed with this b n b. I booked for 29 Nov ( inadvertently non refundable) on *********** and money was taken out on 25th with no changes after that. My son contacted me on 25th to take care of granddaughter as mom’s labour was being started on 27th, 3weeks early for medical reasons. I notified bnb I couldn’t take the room. I flew out on 27th and what started as a “natural” labour start by sweep before being induced later if necessary became a medical emergency that evening. The bnb was extremely unsympathetic and uncaring. I honestly can’t believe anyone could be so unkind to not refund the money as I had given a few days notice. They only offered 25% off on the next booking and only if they could fill the room on this occasion. As if I would really want to pay them more money. I sincerely hope that if they ever find themselves in the same type of predicament as I had that their hosts will be kind and compassionate towards them.

Very pleasant 1 nights stay at Shannonside Bed and Breakfast. Extremely friendly and welcoming, house had a “lovely feel”. Bedroom very comfortable, tea making facilities and 2 bottles of water. Very comfortable sitting room for guests to relax in the evening. My brother-in-law who was travelling with us from Australia gave it 15/10

Absolutely beautiful B&B. The place was spotlessly clean. Our room again was spotless, airy and bright. Located in a lovely quiet area which in turn gave us a comfortable nights sleep. Mark and Linda were great hosts making us feel very welcome in their house. If we are ever up in Athlone again we will definitely be booking Shannonside House. I highly recommended it.
