I booked a stay at The Machan as a surprise getaway for my husband’s birthday, and I must say — it turned out to be one of the most beautiful experiences we’ve ever had. I initially booked the Canopy Machan for two days. The moment we arrived, we were welcomed into a serene, scenic, and tranquil environment, far away from the noise and chaos of city life. The property is a little secluded with no signboards on the way, so prior booking is a must — but that only adds to the charm and exclusivity of the place. From the moment we stepped in, we were warmly welcomed by Mohan at the reception, and throughout our stay, Prabhakar Maskar took care of us. From handling our luggage to arranging buggies and helping us move around the property, he did it all with a warm, humble smile that instantly made us feel at home. The entire staff was incredibly attentive and kind — it felt like we were being looked after by family. Every meal we had was absolutely delicious. The flavors, presentation, and thoughtfulness behind each dish were commendable. A special thank you to Ganesh and Rizwan for taking such good care of us during our mealtimes. A little hiccup turned into an even better surprise when we noticed a slight issue with the upper deck of our original machan. The team was so gracious about it and immediately upgraded us to the Cocoon Machan, one of their premium stays. And honestly — it was beyond luxurious. The views, interiors, and entire experience felt surreal, like something out of a dream. A special shoutout as well to Somnath Maskar and Prabhakar Maskar, brothers who made sure we were always comfortable and taken care of. Their constant warmth and polite smiles truly added to the charm of the stay. When it was finally time to leave, we genuinely didn’t want to. It felt like we were leaving behind a little world of peace, warmth, and unmatched hospitality. We are already looking forward to our next visit. The Machan is not just a stay — it’s an experience. And we’re so glad we chose it for such a special occasion. Highly, highly recommend!

The food in machan was really good!! Thank you to Chef Abul, Sameer, Teresa and Arvind for such great service and warm hospitality towards us. The food was 10/10. They were extremely polite and responsive. Our stay was comfortable and we will highly recommend their food.

One of my best staycation experience. I am traveling from Australia and was visiting India. The Machan experience will be the highlight of my visit. Very well trained, friendly and loving staff with delicious food experience. All Machan are beautifully designed and little things are being well considered. Cocoon- it is a perfect mix of serenity and beautiful architecture and aesthetics. We were there to celebrate a family event with ages ranging from 70 years to 1 year. All were able to enjoy the place to the hilt. The remarkable Machans constructed amidst the jungle leave you in awe of the place. The beautiful dinner sit out, serene environment, guided treks, delicious food, excellent spa services provide for a wholesome experience. Last but surely not the least the hospitality of the staff uplifted the pleasantness of the whole experience.

It was a nice experience, pavithra helped us settle in, the staffs were all nice. Some drawbacks are; they charge you for water, the water takes a lot of time to reheat, they should have curtains on the loft of tree house( hard to sleep with all the morning light) Ac in the loft didn’t work, it smelled damp & mouldy, the bed sheets smelled as well. We stayed for two days at two different rooms. The charge for one night is pretty high than it should be.
