Bavaria Boutique Hotel

Extremely friendly and helpful attentive staff on hand. The location is also unique but also convenient. It is away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Auckland but near enough to neighborhoods and Mount Eden which offer great food and trails all within easy walking distance. This was exactly the type of hotel we needed after a long flight from the states. Room was tidy and very comfortable

We arrived as strangers and became family with erica , Lynn, and kerri. What an absolute gem of a hotel. We were made to feel as though we were at home, and we certainly did. We stayed for 2 weeks and will definitely go back to bavaria, we loved it there.

Definitely not a hotel and not really a B&B - you mostly have to make your own breakfast! Kiri, the manager (?) is friendly and very helpful. She made us filter coffee when asked, provided lots of information about Auckland and cards to use the bus - there is a bus stop a few minutes walk away which takes you into the centre of Auckland. A large common lounge/eating area/kitchen. Our room had plenty of space but no where really for 2 full size suitcases although this is a common problem with most accomodation. Unfortunately, the bathroom was tiny, probably less than 2 m². Probably worth checking out what it going on at the Eden Park stadium which is nearby. Loud, noisy events going on into the late evening are easily heard and may disturb your sleep. Of course, if you are planning to attend the event, then a good place to stay overnight. Plenty of off-street parking and convenient for touring around Auckland although for central Auckland, use the bus. Also convenient for local shops and accessing SH1 and SH16. Mount Eden summit is nearby and definitely worth a visit for its views across Auckland.

Amazing location, within 10 mins walk of Eden Park, 25 mins walk to Powerstation, 2 - 5 mins to a supermarket, BurgerFuel, Wendy’s and a bar. Cool place to stay, cool decor and vibe, tidy rooms and friendly staff. Definitely recommend to anyone, especially for events at Eden Park!

Lovely spot, very handy. We were upgraded to a sunny upstairs room with a balcony and enjoyed wonderful hospitality from Lynn including local knowledge and advice on local restaurants and genuine interest in our stay in Auckland. Will stay again!

We enjoyed our short stay here. The inn is very nice, with comfortable rooms, a good location close to restaurants and grocery, and not a bad drive to the zoo. The beds were comfortable, and the shared kitchen and seating area was very nice. There is even a lovely patio to relax on. Erica was a very nice host and made us feel welcome.
