P&V's staff is praised for their efficiency and friendliness. Convenient location near ski slopes and amenities, ideal for families. However, guests found the beds uncomfortable and complained about limited storage space.

We stayed here for 4 nights beginning of Feb and loved our stay. I read a few negative reviews before we went but not sure why. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout. The hotel is in ideal location, ski rental shop (called ski fun) right next door and a bakery. Can just walk out the hotel and you are on the beginner slope down. is an easy 10 min stroll down into the main bar/restaurant area. we stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment and was ideal for a couple. Decent size and the balcony had amazing views of the mountains. Would definitely stay again.

Very good stay, provided with the basics for skiing - somewhere to sleep, a balcony, basic cooking such as a hob, microwave, grill, coffee machine , toaster etc. helpful staff at reception who gave us a map too. Love Avoriaz and this was a good location so we’ll be back!

We recently stayed in an apartment in Avoriaz over the New Year period. While the location was excellent—close to the main high street, ski lifts, and ski school—the overall experience left a lot to be desired, especially given the premium price we paid for the holiday. The apartment itself was extremely dated and very small. It’s advertised to sleep four, but there’s no way that would be comfortable. It was already a tight squeeze for just two adults and one child. The bed was small and uncomfortable, and there was minimal storage space, which made it difficult to organise anything during our stay. The boot room was basic at best, offering only lockers with no drying hooks for boots or any way to properly dry or store equipment after skiing. For a ski destination, this was disappointing. The apartment was self-catering, but the amenities were incredibly stingy. For example, they provided only one roll of toilet paper for five days for three people. Considering the cost of the accommodation, this seemed unnecessarily cheap. Additionally, the apartment was not located in the same building as the reception. Upon arrival, we had to drag all our luggage through the snow to reach it, with no help offered and no information provided about using sledges to assist. This was particularly frustrating after a long journey. Overall, I would not have minded the dated interior or lack of space if the price reflected the quality of the accommodation. Unfortunately, it did not, and I cannot say we felt it was good value for money. Would not recommend unless improvements are made or prices are adjusted to better match the experience.

The actual accomodation itself wasnt awful, however it was obvious they dont clean properly inbetween guests. There were spider webs hanging from the ceiling. This accomodation is very close to the slope (about a 2 minute walk) or it is ski in ski out but with it being the end of the season this wasnt possible but it was still decently close to the slope with easy access to the la intrets chairlift and folie douce. What we didnt realise is that after being given 1 toiler roll and 4 towels to start with, that there was no maintence ie no new toilet rolls / towels provided after that. And to our surprise we had to make our own bed on arrival!! You had to pay for your own wifi too which was €8. The bathroom and toilet were seperate and so small i dont think it would suit a guest who was on the larger side. The room we were given says it sleeps 4 people but there was absolutely no room for 2 peoples luggage nevermind 4. On the plus side they had a microwave, some intricate coffee machine that poses as a kettle, stoves and equipment to cook etc with as well as being given complimetary cleaning products. All in all, the accomodation does the job but it wasnt amazing. I did actually mention to reception that i was suprised at the maintence level regarding the towels and toilet roll and the lady said that they werent a hotel and that we are on our own after checking in. Well if you arent a hotel then why am i having to check in and check out? 2.5 stars from me

We recently stayed at residence Saskia Falaise on a family ski trip. The location for us is perfect, directly opposite the ski fun rental shop and with a lovely little beginner slope and button lift out the back which was perfect for our little ones. The team at P&V were incredibly helpful, check-in was so quick and the team had prepared our ski passes too. At the end of our trip we sadly had a trip to the A&E department in Thonon and at 0400 once we’d been seen and told we could leave we were in a bit of a bind with how to get back up to Avoriaz. Having tried all the taxi numbers at the hospital and Uber, I called reception at P&V and the gentleman who answered, Antoine, was incredibly helpful and supportive and arranged for a car for us. On returning to our apartment I had another call with him as he was keen to check we’d returned safely and that all was well and to ask if we’d need additional time beyond our planned check out time. All of the P&V team I’ve dealt with have been extremely pleasant and helpful but Antoine I feel went above and beyond to help us during this very stressful time.

I have stayed in around seven different places in Avoriaz (including previously with Pierre et Vacances). This was easily the worst room we have stayed in. I don't normally leave reviews, but this was so poor that I feel compelled to. The room was shabby, dirty, tiny and very rough round the edges (clearly hasn't been updated in years). The beds are tiny and uncomfortable, and there is virtually no storage. The electricity kept on short circuiting, and the kitchen was badly stocked. Everything is done on the cheap (one roll of toilet paper for the entire week for example - needlessly stingy). We were in a corner on the first floor, so the view wasn't even decent, which is difficult to achieve in Avoriaz where the view is almost always amazing. We asked to move rooms, but were given short shrift. If the room had been cheap it would have been fine, but the price is ramped up in half term, so the cost was very high for a very low standard of accommodation. There are much better places to stay in Avoriaz.

Said we lost a key even though we didnt.. Now it has taken more than 3 weeks to get the money back. The reception does take care of it. Its absurd they steal the money and cant transfer them back even thought the admittet the mistake was theirs.. Dont use this place, you will regret it.

Great location in Falaise district, just 2 minutes from the drop off zone (Avoriaz is a car-less resort), and right next to beginner areas and a short ski to main lifts. Skiing in is a little harder, as quite flat on the return. Stayed in Saskia 3, which really needs an update, looks very dated and a bit scruffy. Room had everything I needed though, kitchen area good and well equipped, bathroom very dated but all worked well. Not dirty, but cleaning standards could have been better, dusty and floor a bit mucky in places. Some reviews have mentioned mould, and there was a bit in the bedroom, which is also tiny, but I was travelling alone so no issue for me. Apartment slept 4, but that would have been tight. Didn't really need staff, check in and out were fine. Heater was faulty in living area - reported it, and to be fair it was replaced with a new unit within about 3 hours of being reported, which I thought was pretty decent. On the whole, if you get a decent price, and you're not to precious about decor etc, it is perfectly decent.
