Highly recommend staying here. Definitely give full marks. Because the landlord couple is very hospitable, very nice people, and the service exceeds expectations. The surrounding yard is very beautiful, with many flowers, plants and fruit trees planted. From the yard you can see the sea. The room was also very clean and comfortable. Except there is no air conditioning. When you first arrive, you can choose from free freshly squeezed juice and wine. Their freshly squeezed juice is very delicious and you can't get it anywhere else. If possible, try to order their homemade dinner. We saw the email too late in the morning and were unable to order dinner on time. Be sure to try their homemade fresh squeezed juices, homemade yogurt, homemade jams. Otherwise you will definitely regret it.

Pure hospitality by proprietors Elizabeth and Selwyn… every detail from greeting to g’bye was crafted to perfection and delivered with authentic passion for hospitality. Gorgeous property with divine views and flora. Don’t miss the complimentary 8 wheeler experience! Clean, comfortable, charming decor. Luxurious linens and bath products were appreciated, along with robes and hot tub spa under the stars. We actually went off our GF diet because… the bread!!! Pizza heaven, magic mousaka paired with great wine and beer. And of course… morning cappuccino ! A west coast highlight and delight.

Perfection! Beautiful location, fabulous generous sized room, terrific welcoming hosts, delicious home cooked dinner & divine desserts. Would thoroughly recommend a stay for a getaway break! We will be back when next touring the West Coast.!

This was our most favorite stay of the entire 25 day New Zealand trip! It feels like you are staying with longtime friends in their home. Elizabeth and Selwyn are so helpful and accommodating yet they let you have your space. Rooms are comfortable and the views are amazing! The food is outstanding... most of it made by your hosts.

Fab couple of nights in a lovely location. Small but beautifully formed lodge. Super room with sea view. Elizabeth’s and Selwyn’s hospitality was perfect with fab food on our deck overlooking the garden and sea. The Argo amphibious vehicle trip was also a lot of fun. Defo recommend 👍

Great stay with Elizabeth & Selwyn. Lovely room with terrace and gardens overlooking the sea. Delicious home cooked food for dinner on 2 nights & excellent breakfasts. Highly recommend for a couples stay. Easy access to beach for a sunset walk😀.

What a lovely retreat along the west coast of South Island. We’d been traveling for a few days and were already a bit road weary so the personal touch of feeling like you’re in the home of good friends was just what we needed. The lodge/home is beautiful with wonderful views and surrounded by gardens and a path down to the sea. The meals were great and made by Elizabeth with little touches that made it extra special. Don’t miss a chance to visit the beach.

Elizabeth and Selwyn run a wonderful B& B - the rooms are comfortable and mostly look out onto the Tasman Sea, so sunset from the porch or from the beach nearby is beautiful. What makes this so special is their welcoming smiles, which last from morning until night, and their willingness to share any and every detail of things to do and places to see along this unique stretch of coastline. They are super people. No review would be complete without mentioning their cooking, both dinner and breakfast. There is nothing to beat fish cooked fresh off the boat.
