Just returned from a 10 day stay at this hotel. Check in was quick and easy, reception staff very friendly and welcoming. Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable with a nice size balcony, all sockets were for British plugs so no adapter required. Room contained a small fridge in the cupboard to keep fresh water and other drinks and there was plenty of storage available. Shower was looking a little old but still had a lot of power and did the job. The food in the resteraunt was very good, breakfast was delicious with lots of options to choose from. Lunch could also be enjoyed in the resteraunt or down by the pool bar, evening meal had a different theme each night which gave a variety of choices to try. The resteraunt staff were fantastic! Very attentive , friendly and nothing was to much to ask. A wide variety of drinks including cocktails was available at both the bar and pool bar in the day and the main bar in the evenings. Again the staff on the bar were exceptional.. special mention to George who really went above and beyond to look after us. We missed out on the Italian restaurant as unfortunately it was undergoing a refurbishment along with orther areas on the hotel, however we did not miss it with the food available to us daily. We cannot fault this hotel and the level of service they provided. If given the opportunity we would definitely return.

We have just returned from an 11 night stay here 3rd to 14th May and the hotel is excellent as are all the staff. The setting is just beautiful with the white lowrise buildings and blue doors, you truely do feel in another world. Just a stunning hotel ! We had room 2313 overlooking the pool and sea, just beautiful, and a suntrap in the evening. The room was lovely and big , and Dorinda kept our toom spotless everyday and every morning she had a big smile and a warm morning welcome, thank you. The food was delicious, and the snack bar was such a great choice of fresh foods, from fruit to various salads, chips to burgers, and nuggets and fish fingers for the kids . Buffet had themed nights each night and was really good choices. Breakfast was also amazing everyday. We would like to say a huge thank you to a special lady, Olga, who went above and beyond during our stay. We celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary and my 50th birthday during our stay and Olga arranged a gift and wine delivered to our room. Olga also got us booked in to the new Al a Carte Italian on site as a final night surprise, which was a stunning restaurant and food. We can not thank her enough for her hospitality and making us feel special , Olgas warmth , smile and dedication to being so attentive to her guests is a credit, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The hotel, all the staff and hospitality shown was just amazing throughout and we will definitely be back. Thank you Atlantica Callisto, it was an absolute pleasure spending or special holiday with you all. Mr and Mrs Catterall (2313)

To the attention of the General Manager of the Atlantica Callisto**** Hotel Dear Sir, we congratulate you on choosing an exceptional hotel staff, with whom we had the opportunity to meet again after 7 months since our last stay. From the moment we arrived at the Atlantica Callisto**** Hotel, the staff welcomed us with an open and positive approach, specifically Mrs. Tonya Phoka, who, upon our request, assigned us "our" room from our last stay, where we feel at home and a nice welcome attention was waiting for us in the room. We are extremely happy that we met again your attentive reception staff, whom we remembered, the receptionists Mina, Georgia, Alex, Teo, the guest relations manager Olga, from the dining room Georgia, Yiota, Toni, Christos, who carefully supervises everything and everywhere, Eleni, Mr. Panayotis, the young nice Ilyas, the helpful and kind Elena, the friendly Antonis, Andreas, Paraskevi and George from behind the bar and the beach staff gentlemen. Thank you for the great choice of food, we loved everything about this hidden paradise: From the delicious food options to the cozy rooms with amazing views. Thanks to the aforementioned staff, we are living our dream here, during the first week of our vacation and we look forward to the next days with you all. We both have worked in the hotel industry for many years, so we appreciate the high level of the Atlantica Callisto**** staff even more

Fantastic hotel. Rooms nice and clean with a current upgrade program in progress. Good pool area with beach access. Food is plentiful and really nice, try and eat the Cypriot food. We would like to complement the chefs for their hard work. All the staff were really nice, I felt that they went that "extra mile" to talk and get to know us. We will be returning as soon as we can

Weather was beautiful in Ayia Napa during mid august - some days would be 40 degrees. Hotel is right next to the beach- you have to pay extra to use the sunbeds on the beach for a day. Not enough sun beds around the pool - having to wake up at 6/7 every morning to reserve 2 sunbeds next to each other. Around 20- 25 minute walk to the main Ayia Napa ***** and taxis are expensive for the short journey- not ideal if you wanted to party every night. Food isnt the best. Breakfast is the best meal of the day. Lunch is very basic and usually items that dont pair well together. They have a child section which is limited. Dinner was a different country theme every night. Mexican and Italian were the best- the others some nights we would barely eat. Not a good selection of deserts too- very limited. A lot of people we met on the trip ate out at least once a day. With that being said, it is worth paying the all inclusive price just for the drinks. They have 3 bars- poolside, restaurant and indoor. The hotel has a shop next to it which is greatly priced for inflatables and snacks. Sun screen is expensive in every shop- around 18 euro for a decent factor 50. Room was massive, a large living area, big bedroom. Bathroom could do with a bit of TLC. Balcony was massive too and has seats- unfortunately ours was blocked from the sun so we didn't spend as much time on this as we would've liked. Rooms are well secured. Not a good "kitchen" area if you took food back to the room- ants were common in ours daily and the cleaners didnt seem to address this issue. In terms of entertainment, for young children the kids nightly entertainment looked great. The adults however is shocking, to the point it makes you laugh. If you speak English, the day time staff don't speak English well, making it harder naturally to join in with entertainment. I met an old lady who hurt her hand in the elevator. She had massive bruising and the lift doors shut suddenly. The reception team handled this very poorly, with no apology and an ice pack which would melt almost immediately and they would complain when you asked for a new one. If you do reserve towels on sunbeds overnight, staff remove your towels. Again, someone i met had this happen and they said they didnt take her towel and they havent saved it for her, despite them saying you will get it back. Towels are handed out daily which is good. There is plenty to do around the area, rather in walking distance or a short taxi. About ten minute walk away on the beach there is plenty of water sports to do with very good prices. The beach is absolutely beautiful. They have an underwater museum and rafts in the middle of the ocean which you can jump off. Me and my brother went out almost every night and watched the football in the local pubs rather than the entertainment at the hotel. It is also close to the theme park nearby, which is a really good laugh at night. I would say the hotel is more suited to young adults, who want a bit of both- go

Okay, so there are some positives to this hotel. I will start with the back story, we went in August which was so so busy and this didn’t help the situation. When we arrived and went to check in we were told they had overbooked and they were putting us in their sister hotel. I explained this is absolutely not what we wanted, we wanted this hotel, we wanted to be beach front. They assured me it was the same and that there was NO way we could stay at castillo as they had no room. To be honest the didn’t care at all, they had no empathy for the situation. Rude and unhelpful. We went to atlantica pathena and HATED it and it took so many phone calls to easyJet and visits to reception and calling castillo reception and speaking to their manager who is incredibly RUDE and they finally moved us back after 24 hours. So onto this actual hotel; apartments are okay, basic but comfortable. However the cleaners are awful and it just got progressively more dirty and they just did a basic clean no getting into corners or proper sweeping etc. The overcrowding at the pool isn’t very nice, the sunbeds are 3 lines deep and there is just no room. There isn’t enough space for the capacity of the hotel. The pool is okay, a little grimey. The hotel being beach front is wonderful and the beach is great for a dip/snorkel. Food/drinks; the pool bar has great food. Table service you can order off a menu which is such a treat and welcomed bit of shade. Staff there work so hard and are upbeat and polite. This was the most positive part of the holiday for us. Drinks are Meh but aren’t they always at a cheap all inclusive. Now to the main Buffett. My god it’s awful. Now we are seasoned all inclusive buffet goers and not fussy at all. I like to think as long as I can make a nice salad with pots/chips/meat then I am happy and perhaps a bread roll to go with it. Now you could not put together a meal out of the rubbish they serve up at this buffet. No bread at dinner times to make any sandwiches, kids section is the worst I have ever seen. No cold meat selections, the hot meats were random and so tough and chewey. We ate out all but 2 times. It was appalling. Save your money, book somewhere else. I don’t know how they make this place look okay in the pics, it really isn’t. I don’t know how anyone is giving this place a good review. We go on 2 x all inc per year and I wouldn’t go back to this hotel if you paid me. I never want to leave holidays and I am known for extending them. This holiday was the only holiday I actually wanted to go home from. I was so relieved at home time.

Fantastic location, could do with upgrades, but, absolutely wonderful. Bathrooms in need of attention, shower over bath is not conducive to the experience, but the bar food/manager Christos, went above and beyond, Georgia in restaurant was amazing, Antonus and George in the bar, amazing.

Travelling with family, we had 2 double rooms on the ground floor. One of the rooms obviously had had its doir kicked in at some point, as you could see the sunlight through two gaps, each up to 3 cm wide, at the top of the door. We had to stuff one if the gaps with toilet paper and in the other we used a towel. We did complain - nothing happened. The drain in the shower in the same room did not work properly and every shiwer ended with standing in dirty eater up to our ancles. The other room was not cleaned properly when we arrived, especially the bathroom was filthy. After complaining 3 times, we ended up cleaning ourselves. We had an all inclusive reservation, and I checked before booking that the hitel also served vegetarian food. Well, options were very scarse and my older daughter ended up eating dry pasta, french fries, salad and cheese every meal. In the end, we had to go out to restaurants almost once a day throughout our stay. Even for meat eaters, this was likely the worst food we have ever had in an all exclusive hotel. The location is ok with both Nissi veach and Ayia Napa centre within walking distance. The beach was nice and relatively quiet, it was always possible to find beach chairs. The beach is only partially sand, the rest is gravel and rock. This is at best a 3-star hotel.

Generous giving hotel 4/5 could be 3. Agree with many reviews - good and bad. Gave 4 mainly for fantastic location - couldn't be better for beach/sea and bars/restaurants plus great pools, lovely staff in all facilities and good food and drink. Great to be able to walk about 20m and on beach and lovely clear/warm sea - had great fun snorkelling. Pools warm and cleaned every day plus surroùnding area Food and drink good in buffet, snackbar and night bar. Staff all really lovely and hard working ( maybe excluding the room cleaning staff). The spa area is dated as is the gym - the gym equipment maybe old but does function and there is enough for a decent workout. However, these are the negatives - I know Atlantica group have only recently taken over the complex but the infrastructure really does need a massive overhaul. The rooms have had a spruce up and are pretty basic but are ok and very large. The bathrooms don't seem to have changed - the main problem is the very poor condition of the bath/shower area - also there is a major problem with the drainage - presume it's a combined drainage system because when you flush the toilet - water, etc! bubbles up through the bath plug hole - might explain the brownish colour of the bath! Cleaning of rooms not the best but we're not too messy anyway. Garden areas around complex and grass area in front of beach need to be cleaned up more regularly. The outside bar/eating and entertainment area could really do with a refurb - also the complex toilets really are very dated and in very poor condition. These toilets also weren't always clean. The entertainment is poor and in a bad location. Even with these negatives there were many more positives and mainly due the beach location we as a group of 9(ages 5 -62) had a really great holiday and would return - hoping that in the next few years most/all these negatives will be sorted.
