Didn't have the sea view room we booked but gave us a side sea instead + all inclusive, so was a great compensation. Hotel was very nice and we really enjoyed our stay. Bed was very comfortable!

We arrived about 1am local time. No facilities open (to be expected) , but the hotel reception informed us there were sandwiches and fruit in our room. A good start. It went downhill from there. Our room was in a satellite apartment complex 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Not horrendous in the grand scheme of things, but annoying after a few days, traipsing back and forth for every meal, and to/from the pool and facilities etc. All the sandwiches left were meat based, which isn't great when some of our family are vegetarian. This was to become a theme throughout our stay. Every dinner there was rarely more than just 1 vegetarian option, excluding the salad bar. On one night of the week there were none. Many nights I resorted to just eating margarita pizza as everything else had meat in, even to pointless extremes of little slivers of bacon in pasta carbonara. I didn't think vegetarianism was that abstract of an idea? Especially when there was a dedicated gluten free area. Almost all the deserts had nuts sprinkled over them, entirely unnecessarily, which made deserts an issue for 2 of the 4 of us who have nut allergies, and the other 2 obviously not eating nuts to avoid transfer. We went half board so were expecting to pay for alcoholic drinks etc, but dinner was a huge scam. Diners were forbidden from taking ANY drinks in to the dining hall, and nothing was provided. You even had to pay additionally for table water. On one night we took in a half full water bottle that we'd bought the night before, and were rudely told by the restaurant manager to put it away as we couldn't have it. The facilities were as you'd expect in any large hotel on Cyprus, but seemingly uncared for. The 'kids club' advertised was a very run down room well out the way, where the poor girl running it was trying to do the best she could with what little there was (basically just colouring sheets and some board games). Paint and plaster were coming off the walls, and the completed kids colouring displayed seemed to be a few seasons old. Outside was a small playground, but the kids club and playground weren't really suitable for kids over 5. There was a large swimming pool but it's not heated and very deep, and after 10 minutes in it I started to lose feeling in my fingertips. My daughter's lips turned blue. The only saving grace here is that the beach is only a 2 minute walk down a dedicate boardwalk, but as it's a public beach, you have to pay for loungers / umbrellas. Our room was made up daily, but that's about where the cleaning stopped. We had to ask twice for the floor to be hoovered / mopped due to dust, but it wasn't ever more than cursory (see photo). Dust balls were everywhere in the room. We are a family of 4 with a 12yr old boy, 7 Yr old girl. We were given 2 double beds. The receptionist couldn't really understand why we asked for an additional bed, even when we said it wasn't really appropriate for mixed gender kids to be sharing a bed. Both the sofa bed

We booked for a two week family holiday, 1 bed apartment & half board. Happy enough with our hotel selection, the apartment was big enough for our family of three. Nice beach attached to the hotel & walking distance into the main ***** for restaurants etc. plenty of parking was available for our hire car also. The apartment was somewhere in the middle of modern & being outdated.. certainly could have been cleaner, but facilities were good enough for a pleasant stay. Certainly a good set up for a quiet family holiday. Water pressure in the shower was good, bed was decent (pillows not so much) & the food at the hotel was very good - some of the best we have experienced from a buffet set up. Swimming pools were a little cold, but clean and well maintained. We did visit at the end of the season to be fair! Daily temperatures were mid to late 20’s (last two weeks of October). There were a couple of restaurants attached to the hotel & both were serving a fair quality of food, at fair prices. We had no reason to complain throughout our stay & the hotel is well positioned for a base to explore from. Tip - take your own travel iron & visit one of the larger supermarkets to stock the apartment up (Lidl etc)..

We had a wonderful stay at your hotel! Everything was lovely, and we especially appreciated how quickly you resolved the minor issue we experienced on our first day. We would like to express our gratitude to all the staff who made our stay so enjoyable. The reception team was incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived, and the staff at the restaurants and bars provided excellent service throughout our stay. In particular, we wanted to mention Saed from the restaurant, who was a truly kind and helpful presence. Our cleaning lady was also amazing and kept our room spotless. We do have one suggestion regarding the evening entertainment. We noticed that the Mini Disco for children takes place at the same time as the adult entertainment at the bar. This makes it difficult for families to enjoy both. To improve the experience for everyone, we suggest holding the Mini Disco earlier in the evening, perhaps around 8:00 PM, at the mini stage in front of the bar. This would allow families to enjoy the Mini Disco and then move to the bar area for the adult entertainment later on. It might also encourage adults to stay in the bar area longer. Additionally, it might be helpful if the animators actively invited the children to participate in the Mini Disco to boost engagement.

"Sotos Special Drink – A Must-Try at Melissi Beach Hotel in Cyprus! " During my stay at the beautiful Melissi Beach Hotel in Cyprus, I had the pleasure of trying the "Sotos Special Drink" at the pool bar, created by the talented bartender, Sotos. This drink is the perfect refreshment on hot days, just what you need to cool down by the pool and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. It's fresh, delicious, and unique – just like the service that Sotos and his team provide. Available with or without alcohol, it's perfect for everyone. If you're here, don't miss out on this drink! It's a true highlight!

My family and I (two kids age 9 and 11) loved it here. When we booked there weren’t a load of reviews or videos but our stay was incredible, I would have given 5 stars if the beach was private. The rooms were a good size, the variety and standard of the food is really great! The pool and entertainment is perfect for the kids, shout out to Jordan and his ace entertainment management! Almost all of the staff are friendly and helpful, especially the funny Kyma Pool Bar team - thank you Sotos (creator of the delicious Sotos Special) and the lovely Nico!! The gym was decently equipped and you don’t get heckled by spa people to get involved in the spa, which we’ve experienced at other Cyprus resorts. I think the daily room clean could be much improved as the floor wasn’t swept and the mirrors weren’t cleaned the whole week, and the water / amenities in the room was fairly minimal.

This is absolutely the best hotel we have ever stayed at. This was our fourth holiday in Cyprus and absolutely the best. Melissi is nothing short of magnificent. There is literally nothing negative to say about this place. The views are breathtaking, the staff are incredible, the food is delicious and varied, everything is always clean and spotless…and the pool/bar area is just amazing. They have a fantastic kids club too which our children absolutely loved. The staff are exceptional, nothing is too much trouble for them and they made us feel very welcome and looked after. I highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be returning next year, and probably every year for quite some time!

Fabulous hotel, warm and friendly atmosphere, nothing too much trouble for any of the staff. I’d like to give a special mention to everyone but I can’t remember all the names sorry. Katerina on reception was so friendly and helpful, Sayed in the restaurant never forgot us and made a point of speaking to us at every meal, Sotos fabulous cocktails in the evenings. Every single member of staff worked so jolly hard, the pool area was kept extremely clean and tidy and it was kept very safe for everyone. I personally love to go to the beach and swim in the sea which was only a couple of minutes down the hotel path. The sea was lovely and warm and felt very safe with lifeguards dotted along the beach. There were plenty water sports further up the beach. The beach area was also kept very clean and tidy by the Municipal. There isn’t a lot to do in the evenings, so next time I would pack a couple of travel games/cards. This wasn’t a problem for us as we just wanted to relax and enjoyed listening to the saxophone player one night and music acts on other nights. It would be nice to maybe have a traditional Greek evening. We didn’t use the buses, but there are stops outside the hotel in both directions and the hotel has timetables printed out, the fares are quite cheap as well. It was our intention to visit the sculpture park, which is close by but it was a little too hot for walking, for us anyway. We had a walk to the harbour which was pleasant and walked into Ayia Napa, 10 mins which has plenty bars, restaurants and shops if you like that sort of thing. The food in the hotel was great - always something to choose from, my son is vegetarian and always had plenty to eat. We ate in the Italian restaurant one night which was lovely and again the staff very attentive, we also ate in the Greek restaurant on another night, for the main course I had moussaka which was very tasty but far too big a portion, the starters and desserts weren’t anything special, probably would give it a miss next time. All in all a fabulous holiday and hope to come back very soon September or June. Thank you Mellissi Beach.
