Casa das Portas ranks well above a 2 star property. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Bathrooms are modern . Bed and pillows are very comfortable. Dinner is available for those walking the Camino for 12 eur or 14 eur. Is was delicious and included vegetable soup and spaghetti bolognaise. Breakfast was also very good. A selection of warm rolls, juice, coffee and scrambled eggs. The owners are delightful and very welcoming.

This was a very relaxing stay during my Camino Portuguese! Place is spotless, food is delicious and green wine was so pleasing after a long day hike. There were only two people and each of us has got own room with four bunk beds) it is quiet inspite being near the road and I slept very well.

Wonderful hotel. Comfy beds. Amazing shower. Tasty breakfast. Beautiful gardens. Very friendly family owners. The place is very peaceful located in the countryside but easy to find.

We are pilgrims on the Camino. The host and his mother made us feel extremely welcome. The homemade soup was delicious and the room comfortable, clean and welcoming. Lunch was homemade sandwiches for great value. Would definitely stay again.

A perfect place for 2 weary pilgrims to relax. Modern dorm, very clean and great facilities including a pool. Evening meal was served poolside and was great value and tasty. Hospitable staff and host ensured our stay was memorable. Host even drove several kms to Azinhaga, to deliver our overlooked lunch items to us that we had left behind. Amazing act of kindness.

We arrived at this lovely guesthouse after a very long hot walk on the Camino. The family were so kind and helpful and we were able to go into our room early and then use the wonderful pool to cool down. They served us a lovely meal outside and as we were leaving very early the next day they prepared us a takeaway breakfast.
