We didn't stay in this hotel so this is not a review of the hotel. Only a review of experience of dealing with the hotel. We made a booking in error for the wrong date. 238 Euros for 2 rooms. The booking was made 18.45pm on Saturday night and mistakenly booked for that same evening, evening, instead of our planned trip In July. Absolutely my mistake. On realising our error I contacted the hotel the next day when explaining I had made an error with the booking date and asked if they could carry our original booking over to July. This was refused. I then asked for some credit towards the July booking to ease the pain, and was told 100% not as the booking was in their non cancellable period and they have lost the room revenue {I doubt this very much as we booked so late}. I doubt few people book at 18.45pm to stay the same night in March. Anyway my loss for now but their loss in future as we won't be staying or eating in July as planned. The rooms in July are over 200 Euros each and we would have booked 2 rooms and also had dinner and drinks etc so maybe 600-700 Euros at least. Such a short sighted view of things so very disappointed with the attitude from their reservation dept.

We stayed here for two nights a few weeks ago. Beautiful traditional property at the edge of this small town. We stayed in a standard double room - they are all quite different and some nicer than others (only 1 has a balcony, and rooms on the top floor don’t all have a side window - but do have a big window in the roof) and we note that the property doesn’t have airconditioning but we did have a good and quiet fan in the room which worked fine in conjunction with leaving the window open. What we liked the most was the pool and outdoor terrace area. A very pretty and great place to relax after visiting vineyards during the day with drinks served by the indoor bar. The property doesn’t do food which is a shame as it would have been great to have an alfresco dinner or lunch there one day. They do serve a good breakfast. We were slightly unlucky that we stayed here on the 22nd which was the date of the town’s annual party so it was quite noisy till late. Staff were friendly enough but fairly reserved. For dinner we went into Nareja and Santo Domingo de La Calzada respectively, both a c 10 min drive away.

A hidden gem on the Camino de Santiago. Hotel is all different and unique rooms. It's like walking into a history of Spain. Town is very small, with just 2 simple local places to eat, but very fun as the people are great. Great filling breakfast as well as a great bar in the hotel.

From the attention to the impressive stays. Impeccable attention. The staff very friendly and willing. The room with great detail, comfortable bed, like at home. The breakfast was super complete and with selection. Spectacular experience.

A charming place, very friendly cafeteria and reception staff. Excellent cleaning. Daily replacement of towels and courtesy products. The simple and rich breakfast is missing some local cheese or local product but to give a proposal for improvement. Be careful if you pay from Booking, payment is made at the hotel. Although it leads to some confusion. Excellent to repeat in summer and use the pool!!!

Hotel that looks like an old palace, with swimming pool and garden. Very well kept. Very large rooms. Very helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Very convenient for those doing the Camino de Santiago.

Room without air conditioning....difficult in this season and toilet in the bathroom but....no door so adjoining the room It's rubbish Parking for 4 spaces so no space...No restaurant then exit miles away for dinner To be canceled

Every year we get together workers from different parts of the peninsula; former college colleagues. We chose the hotel as a meeting point to get to know the most emblematic areas of La Rioja. It is the second year we come. The hotel is beautiful. The details are taken care of to the maximum. And the human team is super attentive at all times; inside the hotel and helping us manage many of our visits. Having breakfast in the dining room was one of the best moments of the day. The same as enjoying the private SPA for us 6. Thank the service staff and the rest of the reception colleagues for their attention and kindness. It has been a beautiful experience.
