The hotel is very new, the equipment is good, the most nice thing is that the hotel staff has no problem in English communication, and the room is automatically upgraded to a suite, giving a big surprise.

Très décevant pour un 5 etoiles, l hôtel la maison blanche a perdu son faste d antan.... On arrive sur les étages de chambres sur moquettes non aspirées depuis des mois certainement tellement elles sont sales, on découvre certe une chambre spacieuse ( d'où le critère 5 étoiles) mais qui est vétuste et a besoin de rafraîchissement, la salle de bain est spacieuse mais sans confort et surtout avec des articles de toilettes déjà utilisés.... La literie reste confortable. Le petit déjeuner est un cauchemar....pas digne d un 5 étoiles . Il faut demander pour avoir des viennoiseries, le café il faut racler les fonds de thermos pour en avoir car ils ne rechargent pas, le fromage qui date de on ne sait quand et la charcuterie sèche et déshydratée. Vraiment vivement que les responsables se rendent compte de ce qu est un vrai 5 étoiles et même en Tunisie .... Ouvrez vos yeux!!!

The suite has a balcony with city views. The room includes meals, and the food is local specialties and delicious. I will stay at this hotel next time I go to Tunisia.

The hotel is set at 3 stars at best, but safety is the first priority. Breakfast is average. The environment and food in Islamic countries cannot be complimented. It only costs 20 dinars from Tunisia airport to this hotel, but the airport rental is too bad and charges 50 dinars You, especially the hotel’s parking taxi drivers, must take pictures and keep them in order to avoid complaints when they are cheated. Requested to borrow an iron but was given the brush off. Told to go back the next morning (it seems they do not ''work'' in the evenings). Went to the reception the next morning at least 4 times to ask and remind and each time I was creative answers from ''didn't they give you already?'' to ''it's with another guest'', to finally, ''we don't have any''. If they had simply said they do not provide right from the beginning rather than played around, I would not have been so disgusted with the poor attitude. They offered to press my shirt instead but who would dare trust them after all the run-around, by the very same receptionist?!

Rooms are very small and very basic, like a jail cell with one very tiny window. Rooms temperature is controlled by the management so they choose if you get air conditioning or not. So when it’s hot outside, your room is very very hot too but when you tell them, they act like it is the first time they are hearing it; don’t be fooled, they know exactly what’s going on. Service in the front desk with the exception of two people is completely non-existent and you have to try very hard to get service and responses. The girl in the front desk with the black hair is usually smoking in the back office and playing on her phone and the restaurant staff have to tell her to come out to serve at the front desk. The other blonde haired girl, her name starts with A, is very mean and rude to most guests Omar and Asma are very nice. Housekeeping is super slow and not organized. Restaurant staff provide no service at all, not even a greeting. If you ask a question, they clearly are not happy to be disturbed from playing on their cellphones. They hide in the corner and gossip all throughout the meal service and play on their phone. It is not walking distance to the Old Town, it’s quite a walk so be very prepared to walk or take a taxi. Use Bolt Taxi and drop the price 3 dinars if you want to negotiate a rate. Airport to hotel from departure area was about 7 dinars but you can get it at about five dinars. Food is horrible at the hotel but they do serve an overpriced breakfast buffet. Outside it is very Sandy and dusty.
