I decided to try this hotel again because the location was close to the port. While I found it better than my last visit it was still not on par with the best hotels in Bacolod. The good: - The hotel is clean - being attached to the SM Mall with lots of choices for food and shopping was great - Sleep quality was acceptable - water pressure in the shower was great The bad - breakfast was especially bad. No bacon, no egg station, the only juice was calamari’s- how do you provide a breakfast buffet in a tropical country with no mango or pineapple juice??? The coffee and tea is serve yourself. This simply does not compare to the breakfast buffets at the better hotels in Bacolod . The no longer provide individually bottled water in the room. Instead it’s a large bottle that at least in my room was not marked as filtered, so I went out and bought water. - overall the feel is as though they are trying to get by on the cheap. The low quality desk chair, lack of individuality bottled water, poor quality towels, etc. all lead to this feel It’s not bad, just not worth the price. There are much better options in Bacolod for less money
This place is good for both recreation with family and for personal, group or corporate events. They have swimming pools to satisfy your need for swimming also meals to satisfy your hungry tummy. I had lots of events here where me and my team do photo and video coverage for events. Love the place especially the sight of sunset in Palmas Del Mar. I was attending a party in the hotel that night and decided that I would rather check-in for the night than drive home late. The room price (I got superior) was very reasonable plus I had a seniors’ discount. What a surprise to see a beautiful newly-renovated home with an hacienda feel with the wooden planks. So homey plus the black out curtains would certainly give one a restful sleep. Am waiting for the next party and will definitely book myself again there. By the way, Twist, the restaurant serves really good food (I’m picky with my food) and at very reasonable prices. I had US angus pot roast for my lunch!

We were 11 pax and we arrived early. We were told that we cannot check in early as they were fully booked for the long weekend. So we left our bags at the hotel and toured around first. We went back before 3pm to get our room keys, but they were not yet ready, we had to wait a few minutes while they assign the rooms. While waiting, we stayed at the lobby, it was cool, nice, neat and had a cozy sofa. The restrooms near the lobby and cafe had no flush. They asked me to pay Php7,998 for the additional room (triple sharing) which I booked directly with the hotel (booked it a day before our trip), it was for 2 nights, I paid this via credit card. They also asked me to pay 5,000 pesos security deposit for the 5 rooms, they only accept cash or Gcash, they do not accept credit cards for the security deposit. When the rooms were assigned, we were given 1 key card per room. Rooms were standard sized, with single sized beds except for the triple sharing room. There was an open closet for our stuff and a safe. No mini ref. Only 1 pillow was provided per bed..sad…they charge 50 pesos per pillow per night if you want another pillow. Beds were comfy. AC was cold and working well. Only 1 hand towel was provided for each room eventhough 2 persons were booked for each room, if you request, there is an additional charge. The bath towels were a bit grayish too. 2 toothbrush and a roll of toilet paper were provided, but no facial tissues. Had to request for handsoap refill as it was almost empty, they refilled. 2 in 1 Body wash/shampoo was provided in the shower area, there was a bidet. No bottled water but they provided a dusty open pitcher (had to clean) in our room so we can get water from the dispenser near the elevator. Need to call them to borrow the hairdryer. You may also request for disposable slippers for a fee. The phone on my parents room was not working, we informed them but they didn’t fix. The wifi in the rooms wasn’t reliable, had to use data. Rooms were not cleaned daily, you probably need to request for cleaning. Breakfast was served at their Studio Cafe, you can choose from their plated breakfast selection, no coffee refill for free, they charge 90pesos for coffee refill and 60pesos for extra cup of rice. Hotel was centrally located along Lacson St. Very near restos, banks, pharmacy, pasalubong centers Merzci and Bongbongs. Easy to get a grab or taxi. They have good and affordable spa at the 5f - we had a good massage after a full day of touring, they accept cash or gcash only, they gave us 10% discount vouchers upon check in. We didnt try their pool and gym, so can’t comment on that. Staff were nice and courteous. They refunded the security deposit in cash upon check out. Thanks.
The 1st room on the 2nd floor needs renovation and Wi-Fi connection there was bad however the room I transferred to was newly refurbished and Wi-Fi connection was not an issue anymore. It's good that their shampoo and soap were organic. Parking space was limited while breakfast needs improvement. Overall, our stay was good.
Booked a Deluxe Queen room. Quite big and good value for money. Swimming pool is nice. Left me a little bitter mouth because in 40 years of travelling this is the first time I have been charged for a dirty towel. Reception was like ”Sir, we need to charge you because the towel is dirty”. Me: ”aren't these supposed to get dirty?” Reception:” Yes, but not that dirty”. Towel was dirty (dust from the car, no oil or things like that, just dust), nothing a washing machine would clean. I was in a hurry to check out otherwise I would have washed in the shower and left it kind of cleaner 🙄. It's ok, I have been charged 300php, but of course I requested them to give me the towel. Lol.

GGuest UserI love how clean my room was, I hope for new pillows. They were not fluffy enough. I had a good sleep though. The staff were also pleasant. I love the K9 named wattatops. I also would like to suggest to add fruit looks on your cereal for breakfast and more food choices for buffet.
My wife and I stayed at the Henry Hotel for 5 weeks. We were totally impressed by Beverly's staff. They were professional, friendly, and accommodating. All my requests were handled in a prompt manner. The rooms were clean and up-to-date and the beds were very comfortable. The restaurant had delicious food they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant staff we're excellent. Their location is close to Robinsons Mall. We felt very safe. The hotel has after hour security and it's across the street from the PNP police station. I would totally recommend the Henry. Thank you Beverly!
GGuest UserMy fiancee and i like this hotel since its clean and the staff are very much accommodating.. Foods are great too... Plus its near in Sm, baywalk downtown church and in port going to manila all in walking distance only..one thing im sure is were going to go back in this hotel again and again... Thank you so much Acacia Hotel for the good accommodation that we experience during our stay there.. Godbless.....................
JJennifer GWhile the hotel boasts beautiful interiors, the service is a major fail! On the second day of my stay, I took the initiative to remind the staff about our request for extra beds, which I had already made upon check-in. I came back to hotel at 2pm to remind front desk. However, despite my efforts, the beds were still not set up by 6 pm. So once again we reminded the front swak as my kids had a delayed flight, and we wanted the beds ready after dinner. We reiterated our request multiple times throughout the day. Yet, to my dismay, upon returning from dinner at 8:30 pm, the beds remained unprepared and not even seen in the room. To add to the frustration, the front desk girl named Ann told us the delay to our supposed indecision regarding a breakfast package in connection to the extra bed. The breakfast-inclusive package or not should have had no bearing on the timely setup of our beds. We also had requested before we left the room that our safe was not in working condition and if they would be able to repair or replace. Upon returning after dinner - no action had been made. Safe still busted. Worst of all after a very tiring day at 10:45pm music is blaring loudly one floor above us on the 5th. They didnt even warn us of an event ongoing. We would have never checked in if we were told ahead of time that there would be disturbing music all night long. Such a disappointment! Glaring difference between the hotel's impressive aesthetics and its operational inefficiency. Basic guest comfort and service is soooo lacking.
JJustine Marie RoperoThe suites was definitely a gem in the heart of bacolod, the hotel accessibility to places such as church, mall, restaurants, banks and pharmacy is strategically good, that you can just walk to get to your destination. Personnel at the front desk is accomodating and fast, also I called them 1 week prior to confirm my booking, they answer the phone right away.
There's a tv which has cable, bathroom is also clean with toiletries included, lot's of towel (body & face towel provided), the aircondition also cools fast. A stay here is definitely worth coming back
GGuest UserIt's certainly an older hotel and it looks in need of tender loving care. However, it was a good price and the staff were nice. The aircon worked. The water was warm though the shower hose was broken.
GGuest UserOur stay was not quite as bad as the rest of the reviews are, we stayed there for a week with my family (3 of us, two adults and one two-year-old child) even though at first we were given a rough room with no windows, I did not hesitate to make a request if they can give us a better room. They were actually quite helpful and assisted us all the way. I have no issues with the receptionists and the workers were nice and respectful towards us. We had no issues as well with the cleanliness of the place as they cleaned up our room when we do make a request. I think one of a few minor blunders I have is that there is no laundry service on-site and yes the aircon needs some major cleaning. Other than that, this hotel is suitable for a quick stay and also very close to SM and nearby areas where you don't need to get a taxi. If you are working remotely, the internet connection is somewhat intermittent and you may have to bring your own mobile connection that is higher than expected. Otherwise, I will give this hotel an honest review of an okay stay as it was for others.
Ccordula JSimply super, we always like to come back again, before the fifth time here, very friendly, room 4 floors, clean and cozy, quiet in the night, super to sleep.Centrally located.Have never had problems, for us in Bacolod only Ong Bun, does continue so, thank you again.
GGuest UserWe came the other day at OYO ABN hostel with excitement knowing that we can have a comfortable stay/rest from our 2 night tiring trip in Cadiz City, and to our surprise... 😊 Our excitement was turned into disappointment! Because: 1. The floor was dirty and it somehow had random footprints?? It's not even fully furnished, no tiles at all from down to upstairs. 2. We were hardly able to lock the doors and windows due to rust. 3. TV (which facing the wall when we came in the room 😆)/AC/HEATER in the toilet were not working properly and seemed like props for display. 😁😁😁 4. Linens/beddings/towels smells very unpleasant and felt itchy. 5. Tap on the sink were broken. 6. Water from tap smells like rust. 7. Cockroaches under the bed (maybe because of the carton they put under the bed. 8. Double deck were cut in half to make it single bed, 🤣 ladder was just placed under the bed. 9. The electricity got cut off in the middle of the night and was hot due to the AC not working. *We actually booked 2 rooms but we're able to use 4 (and supposedly for 5 days but we stayed only for 8hrs) amaaaazziingggg!!!! Isn't it? 😊 its all because of the above complains hehehehe😊😊😊 Anyweiz, thank you for the 2 pcs of rejoice shampoo and 2 small size of safeguard body soap.... At least, really kept us safe from germs 😜
