Comfortable rooms but chose the hotel for the restaurant which didn’t disappoint. Food and service was excellent as was the wine list. Breakfast was good. Had a single room which was clean and comfortable and seems to have been recently renovated.

Bad Essen und das Hotel Höher‘s waren uns bis vor einigen Wochen gänzlich unbekannt und wir hatten keine Ahnung, was uns erwarten wird. Der Grund hier zu sein war der Geburtstag unserer Nichte. Die Anreise war vollkommen problemlos und auch der Parkplatz war gut ausgeschildert. Beim Einchecken sind wir schon sehr freundlich begrüßt worden und die Geburtstagsüberraschung ist geglückt. Danach sind wir ins hauseigene Café, was eine eigene Konditorei hat - der Kuchen/sie Torten waren atemberaubend… Die Zimmer waren sehr geräumig und sauber. Abends waren wir dann im Restaurant, was eine eigene Bewertung erhalten hat. Das Frühstück am kommenden Morgen war super gut und sehr abwechslungsreich. Alles hier aus der Region und/oder selbstgemacht; die Apfel-Lavendel Marmalade hätte ich am liebsten mitgenommen. Auch die verschiebenen Süßspeisen im Weckglas waren perfekt. Wir können das Hotel sehr empfehlen!

Sehr hübsche, renovierte Zimmer in Top Ausstattung. Die Lounge-Ecken innen, laden zum Verweilen ein. Gemütliche Terrasse, wo wir am Morgen ein sehr liebevoll zubereitetes Frühstücks Buffet genossen haben. Sehr freundliches, humorvolles Personal. Unbedingt empfehlenswert.

Am 16. Mai 2022 ca. 12:05 bin ich die Auffahrtsstr. zum Hotel Höger gefahren, als ein blaues Mittelklasse Auto vom Hotel mit hoher Geschwindigkeit auf mich zu kam. Die Auffahrt ist zu eng, das zwei Autos nebeneinander fahren können. Damit es zu keiner Kollision kommt, bin ich ausgewichen. Das Auto bremste im letzten Moment + fuhr dann weiter. Ich war sprachlos, beim anfahren knirschte es. Oh nein, ich wollte doch nur Mittagessen in meinem Urlaub und entspannen vom stressigen Job im Gesundheitsbereich. Das war nun nicht mehr möglich, ich fuhr zur Autowerkstatt, ca. 3000 EU Schaden und eine Woche kein Auto. Nun fahre ich mit dem E-Bike, das ich vor 2 J. bei Fa. Lohmeier gekauft habe in Hedem und Umgebung. Bad Essen ist zu weit.
