Romantik Hotel Kleber Post

A little stuck in the nineties, they must have been great then. Service, well, sometimes I didn't have a towel, sometimes the facial tissues weren't refilled, the water stain on the glass shelf in the bathroom was there for the whole four days. Otherwise it was fine. But nothing more

At first glance, a very well-kept house, no signs of wear and tear. Unfortunately, we ended up in a room that had apparently not been occupied for a long time and had not been checked before arrival. There were so many large dust flakes on the parquet floor that we had to call housekeeping. We spent the time being cleaned in the lobby lounge. The time between lunch and dinner seems to be an unfortunate one, as there are very few staff present and the waiting times are correspondingly long. After a further wait, I was not asked for a second drink, so I went looking for the service staff to sign the bill. The room was cleaned in the meantime. A look under the bed, however, confirmed my suspicion that only the obvious dust flakes on the walkways had been removed. The friendly and attentive service that we were able to enjoy at dinner deserves a positive mention. The staff impressed us with their professional and guest-oriented way of working. We felt very comfortable. The menu included seasonal and regional dishes. However, there was no declaration of additives. These were requested from the kitchen. The evening meal was of high quality and tasted very good. We also liked the wine selection. Breakfast was OK, egg dishes were requested and cold cuts were served. Access to a coffee machine would have been helpful, but that is a question of philosophy. The coffee service took a little too long for me, but I certainly have an above-average thirst for coffee in the mornings. All in all, the stay was OK, but nothing more.

A very central but quiet 4-star hotel with excellent cuisine and excellent service. Spa area, location, hotel garage, staff all tip-top. The area offers many excursion destinations, including Bad Saulgau itself.
