Bad Wiessee Hotels with Bars

Location (lake front) and terrific staff made our experience first class. We spent Xmas and New Year at the hotel to 'get away from it all' and it proved a winner. Wiessee is an isolated spot with walking and 'chilling out' the only things to do. The hotel is popular with older Germans and watching them dance, sing and carouse at the New Year Gala Dinner was a treat. We liked the fact that we were the only Brits at the hotel. Most of the staff spoke good English. The hotel is also a spa with extensive amenities. Accessibility is not an issue with lifts to all floors. Travel tip. If you fly into Munich hire a car at the airport. A taxi to Wiessee is Euro 170 each way and the choice of hire cars at Weissee is not good (as could be expected in a rural area). The journey to the hotel is around 90 minutes.
