Loved the location of this splendid hotel and the old world charm, Many of the rooms with balconies are on the shady side of the hotel. The room was spacious with a king-size bed. The room had a small balcony overlooking the historic Baden ****** and park. There is a magnificent stained glass window in the beautiful Jugendstil breakfast room. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of fruit juices, cereals, pastries, cold cuts, scrambled eggs and bacon and even cake. This hotel would have rated 5 stars except for a number of short-comings; No air conditioning in the rooms (fan was provided on request) Mattresses are saggy and need to be replaced Towels are VERY thin and no small face towels No towel rails in the bathroom (two tiny hooks on the back of the door) Shower cap and vanity packs but no hard soap just weak liquid soaps Shower is combined with a deep bathtub Moldy grout in the shower tiles No kettle in the room and no tea bags, just environmentally-unfriendly coffee pods Bathroom would look better without a large orange mural of a roulette wheel Table and chairs on balcony had not been cleaned.

Staying at the Hotel Herzoghof, and Baden in general, feels a bit like time travel. The hotel and town are sleepy but gorgeous as 19th century, and probably even earlier, architecture lines the streets and everything moves a bit more slowly than in the nearby capital of Vienna. The Herzoghof shares some of this faded glory but is clean, comfortable and with its own old world eccentricities. For instance, the day we arrived, the front desk closed at 6PM, so we had to arrive before then. Likewise, we made the mistake of not booking a parking spot in the hotel's underground parking lot, so we had to find a spot on the street (which was pretty easy). We only stayed for one night, and we did not require any service, so the Hotel Herzoghof was perfect for us, but if you require more assistance, you might need to look elsewhere for your stay in Baden.

Sehr gepflegtes Altstadt Hotel mit getreuer Innenarchitektur des 19 Jhdt. Tolle Aussicht auf den ****** Park, sehr bequeme Betten, sehr sauber. Frühstück in beeindruckendem Jugendstil Salon. Das Gebäck verdient mehr Aufmerksamkeit, sonst ist das Frühstück ausgezeichnet.

Mein Bully und ich waren zur OP bei Dr Bully. Ich habe mich entschieden dieses Mal ein Hotel mit allem Komfort zu nehmen. Es ist alles wunderbar und sowie ich es erhofft habe. Die junge Dame an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Alles passt, wunderbar. Komme bald wieder zur Nachkontrolle bei Dr Bully und übernachte hier wieder. Danke

Ein wunderbar gelegenes Haus, direkt gegenüber des Kasinos. Das Hotel, wem auch immer es gehört, hat seine besten Zeiten sicher hinter sich. Für alle Zimmer gibt es angeblich zwei Damen, ordentlich gemachte Zimmer sehen ganz anders aus, außerdem sollte das alles nicht das Problem des Gastes sein. Das Frühstück ist lieblos, aber in Ordnung, guter Zweisternestandard. Mit dem Personal, das freundlich ist, diskutiert man lieber nicht, denn es weiß ohnehin alles besser. Wir werden sicher nicht wiederkommen.

Wir hatten eine Suite im zweiten Stock mit einer sehr schönen Aussicht zum Kurgarten und zum ******. Alle Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und nett. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet. Die Suite ist geräumig, mit sehr hohen Räumen. Die Einrichtung eher älter und nicht so einladend. Die Fenster im Schlafzimmer sind Richtung Innenhof, wenn man eines davon öffnen möchte muss man auf einen Stuhl steigen. Die Badezimmerfliesen am Boden sind neu, aber an den Wänden sehr alt. Das Hotel verfügt über eine eigene Garage. Im Großen und Ganzen, wir waren zufrieden.

Wir haben hier eine Nacht im Zuge eines Theaterbesuches verbracht. Die Lage direkt im Zentrum am Kurpark ist traumhaft. Perfekt für jegliche Tätigkeit in Baden (Theater, ******, Therme, Shoppen). Das Jugendstil Gebäude versprüht eine historischen Charme. Vor allem die Balkone mit Park-Blick und der historische Frühstücksaal haben uns begeistert. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen (ofenfrisches Gebäck, reiche Auswahl, unter anderem Röucherlachs). Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Parken kann man in der hauseigenen Tiefgarage (6 Parkplätzen, 16€/Tag) oder in der angrenzenden Casino-Garage. Man merkt schon etwas das Alter des Hotels. Das Balkongeländer würde bereits einen neuen Anstrich vertragen und es gibt Hotels mit moderner eingerichteten Zimmern. Trotzdem kann ich dieses Hotel sehr empfehlen.
