I checked in late at night and just went to sleep, but it was a nice hotel. The parking lot was spacious, so it might be convenient for those who rent a car.

We looked for a nice authentic place while visiting the Christmas Market in Baden Baden. The hotel was open, the restaurant not. Probably there were no more than 3-4 parties staying judging from the number of cars, guests at breakfast, and size of the buffet. The rooms are actually nice and large, and they feel clean. The village is definitely off the beaten path. Probably during high season, with lots of people, restaurant fully running etc. etc. it become more pleasant and better quality?

While the hotel itself was fine, our experience with the restaurant was deeply disappointing and far below the expectations set by the website. The photos show a well-decorated and atmospheric space, but in reality, there were no tablecloths, and the tables were not set. Additionally, only half of the restaurant was open, while the rest of the space was dark and uninviting, which created an unpleasant atmosphere. Although the waiter was very friendly and professional, the owner could certainly learn from him. The owner had no idea how to treat or welcome his guests. Without introducing himself, we were rudely told to move from a table, despite there being plenty of space available. This was unnecessary and disrespectful, showing a complete lack of interest in offering hospitality to his customers. Overall, a poor experience in the restaurant that unfortunately tainted our positive impression of the hotel.

Avoid this place at all costs. Terrible service and attitude from the owner. Restaurant is advertised prominently but was closed when arrived. Along with fitness, bar and massage facilities which are also not available when arrived. €365 for 2 nights for no service. Beds and rooms were comfortable

Originally I sought a hotel in Baden Baden, as I was visiting Gaggenau. However weekend hotel stays there were booked many weeks in advance. Casting a wider net, I located hotels in Neuweier. This turned out to be more my style, as it is quieter and more sedate. There are very nice walking trails above the town. The breakfast buffet was superb. The host family must not be from Germany as we both worked a bit in German to converse. I found them to be friendly and helpful. I believe I have found a new place to stay, and would gladly return again. I had one of the best third floor rooms overlooking the main road, with a balcony.

Very disappointing stay, looking on various booking site and the hotels own website it boasted a number of services and amenities which attracted us to this hotel. Upon arriving after a long travel day we were informed that the restaurant was not open and there was no where else local where we could eat. The The rooms themselves were clean and comfortable.

The reception for non-German speakers is rather unfriendly. The boss, in charge of reception, does not speak French and only one or two words of English. The checkin therefore boiled down to the distribution of room cards and the checkout to payment. Surprise: you had to pay in cash. The card case did not work, according to the owner. No ATMs nearby. We had to make a transfer to the hotel's bank account. At that point we received a numbered invoice for our reservation. Otherwise, the hotel is nice. The rooms are spacious. The breakfast buffet is varied but deserves to include regional cheeses. The village is deserted. No possibility of finding a bar or restaurant.

Due to family circumstances, we opted for a short holiday in the Black Forest this year. We were only able to make a reservation very last minute and there are few holiday homes in the Black Forest. Perhaps we should have understood this from the comment that the hotel does not serve breakfast, but it was not clear to us before we arrived. With 4 people in a hotel room alone, it would have been nice if we could have sat in a room in the evening to drink coffee/tea and play a game, for example. Now we have to rely on just the hotel room. This makes the holiday a little less comfortable.
