Consistently friendly and attentive staff provide excellent customer service. Convenient location near major roads and quiet surroundings. However, guests were disappointed with breakfast options and service area cleanliness.

Have stayed here several times and usually have a good experience, except for the breakfast arrangements at the beefeater next door. On this occasion, we arrived with relatives in their 80s to find the rooms that had been refurbished and only completed that day, had no electricity. There was only one person on the desk, and it was a busy day in mid Dec. The poor girl fried frantically to get the electric working in both rooms, for over an hour, eventually moving us to other rooms on another floor, but again, no electric. We we're beginning to give up hope. Already feeling low as we were attending a younger relatives' funeral the next day. But after 90 minutes, she finally succeeded by using 2 key cards in the lighting slot, giving us light. Needless to say we were all tired and weary. To her credit she offered a refund for the cost of breakfast to compensate, and on feeding our experience back to Premier Inn, they also discounted the cost of the rooms. So we were happy with that, and generally we would stay here again. Our only other gripe is with the arrangement for breakfast in the beefeater accross the carpark. Having booked full English breakfast, that is what you expect. But being asked on arrival have you paid or not is poor practice, and would expect the booking in and restaurant services to be linked, so that question becomes mute. Then to go through each item in the English breakfast menu to be asked how many of each item is required is really unacceptable. I do hope they seriously explore a better way to greet and serve their customers. Most hotels would usually just ask your room number, which tells them if you have paid for breakfast or not, and then serve you the item as listed on the menu.

We arrived at about 4pm after having a slight delay on our flight. We found the hotel really easy, parking was no issue either. Once we got in, it was welcoming, nice and friendly staff at the reception, was really quick to check in. Arrived at our room, first impression was okay, thought it would be more welcoming. Originally booked for two adults and one teenager and the room we got was definitely not suitable for that. Thankfully one adult couldn’t make it so was just one adult and teenager which suited us. Our room had a smell of **** which would explain why the window was left open on our arrival. There was a used dirty cotton bud in the bathroom, there was mould in different places of the bathroom and the taps were dirty. The curtains in the room area had holes in them and stains. Cobwebs all round the window and vinyl coming away from the tables. One cup in the room even though it was booked for three people. The bed was the best part of the room, the mattress is amazing and comfy. Very happy with the bed and sleep we got. We had workmen in and out the carparks, and we were limited to when we could get in and out without disturbing them. They blocked several spaces off which affected us as we couldn’t get a space after 6pm because of the restaurant next to us shares the same car park.

We stayed at this Premier Inn so that we could visit an elderly relative near by. The location was easy to get to with good road links close by. Upon arrival we had no trouble parking despite arriving at 3am. Check in was quick and easy and done by friendly and helpful staff. We had booked an accessible room which was located next to reception. The room itself was large and spacious with enough room for a wheelchair user to move around. There was a gap under the bed for a hoist if one is needed. The bed was also lowered. The bathroom had grab rails all over, a lowered bath with shower over and again plenty of room for a wheelchair to manoeuvre. It also had a sliding door which was so much easier than a wheelchair user trying to manoeuvre themselves around a normal opening door. The room was spotless and had everything we needed. When we had a small query it was dealt with quickly and efficiently. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The bed is massive and very comfortable. We didn't eat here so can't comment on the food in the pub next door. The only slight negative was having our sleep disturbed by people/vehicles outside as our room overlooked the car park. But you could get this in any hotel. Maybe triple glazing could be an option. Overall absolutely perfect for our needs and we would absolutely book here again.

Was a lovely room, we had obviously been given an upgrade. Appreciated the fridge, the coffee machine and purple bathroom. Very comfortable. The room was noisy however, someone was banging a door above us all night, or a drawer, not quite sure, but it was disturbing us. We didn't know until the morning of travelling to the hotel that there would be no restaurant open, apparently building work over at the pub next door where you have your meals. The manager rang me to tell me, which I appreciated so it gave us chance to find somewhere else for our evening meal and breakfast, which for the morning was a little inconvenient but it is what it is. I had prebooked breakfast when booking the room. It was acknowledged when we arrived that we would get a refund for them but as yet three days later, I have still not had a refund which is bad practice. It should be instant surely? But I loved the room, and the area was beautiful. The Toby carvery down the road was where we ate for evening meal and breakfast, but because the Premier Inn's Beafeater was closed, it made the other restaurant really really busy and packed. We may have picked a different hotel had we had more notice about the restaurant being closed.

Premier plus room was excellent. Staff friendly and polite, Kate (restaurant)and Kikki (reception) are a credit to the company and made me feel very welcome. Food and wiwi good and plenty of parking on site. Cheltenham town and racecourse twenty minutes away. Will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Cheltenham.

Simple and comfortable stay. Easy to get to. Friendly staff. Beef eater seconds away. Room was clean and comfortable. Quiet location. Great WiFi for work purposes. Easy check in and check out. Large car park. A few more options in the vending machine would help especially if at night or when doing work in the room you don't want to have to travel to a shop or over to the beef eater. Only had water, red bull, one flavour of crisp and a few chocolate bars.

I had quite a few issues with the keys due to the refurbished, however Megan came in the next morning and fixed it all so it didn’t affect the stay. Very clean and homely, friendly staff and good restaurant, have no complaints and I am sure I will be back with work.

I don’t usually leave reviews unless the service and stay is so good that I have no option but too. I stay in premier inn all the time, however Megan went out of her way to ensure my stay was smooth and as pleasant as possible. The rooms were nice and new and very clean. I don’t have any complaints.
