Agutipaca Bungalows

We just got back from 8 days throughout Costa Rica and Agutipaca Bungalows was our last stop. Our only regret was that we didn’t stay here longer. We had stayed at two other larger air bnb’s at the beggining of our trip, but these bungalows were our favourite. We truly felt like a welcomed guest on their well loved property. We were greeted and offered a nature walk by Angie. We saw more on this walk than we did with our paid guides. Her knowledge was amazing, and her excitement to share it with us was so genuine. We saw sloths, sleeping kinkajous, and toucans. The owners also showed us aspects of their property, the different fruit trees, flowers, and birds Our bungalow was immaculate. Plenty of room, and all necessary utensils. Loved the view and hammock. The bathroom and table had beautiful fresh flowers from the garden. They provided coffee, milk, and deliver a delicious fresh made breakfast (fresh juice, fruit, and a main) to your room. The grounds were beautiful, with trails along the river,, a garden, and a pool. The location was also perfect 1 hour of easy driving from airport, less than 30 min to Rio Celeste, and about an hour to the beach. Lots of services within 5 min drive (restaurants, grocery, shopping etc). It looks great I photos, but was even more beautiful in person.We are already planning our start next year!

Wonderful warm family affair, comfortable clean rooms nestled in the jungle. Toucans and sloths outside your window. More birds than you can imagine and the whole family Meli, Flori, Mani plus Angi, Romero and Mouti were super attentive with anythingwe wanted of needed. Great location near all sorts of tube trips. canaopy tours, trail hikes also a wildlife rescure center (centro de rescate y sanitario las pumas) with puma, jaguar, sloth, monkeys, birds... Cant wait to go back

We stay for 5 nights and would’ve stayed forever! Beautiful, conveniently located property. Manuel gave a very informative tour of the flora and fauna on the property. By the first full day we had already seen 3 Collard Aracari toucans having a snack together, 1 Keel-billed toucan, a large troop of capuchin causing trouble in the trees less than 100 feet from our bungalow, and the troop of howlers that live on the property. Ramiro is the bestest boy and we miss him coming over for pets. Flory’s full breakfasts were wonderful, with eggs, meat, beans, homemade sweetbreads, fresh fruit, and pure fruit juice. The staff are excellent Meli was great with communication and answering any questions we had. Angie took us on a walk to see sloths and a beautiful spot with side by side waterfalls. She was so nice to offer to do so. Alejandro and Jess are two local students studying tourism, they were so eager to help with anything we needed or any questions. Their futures hold great things! They found one of the resident sloths hanging out very visible one morning, but we were hiking. They stopped us as soon as we arrived back to show us the sloth and that was so kind of them to watch for us. And the Gloria, thank you for resetting the AC 😉. This location is close to several great restaurants. They are only 30 minutes from Tenorio Volcan/Rio Celeste National Park. We will be back

We stayed one night (I wish it were more) in these beautiful little bungalows. We rented two one for us and one for our two teen girls. The rooms are clean and lovely. The property is gorgeous. We even went on a tour around the property and saw toucans, monkeys, and a sloth. The family is absolutely lovely and friendly, as are the dogs: there is a cute little pool to cool off, and a delicious breakfast. We will stay here again!

This adorable family owned collection of bungalows was the perfect stay for our family. The owner took us on an amazing tour of their property when we arrived. We saw a toucan in the morning, hummingbirds, and howler monkeys woke us up bright and early! The rooms were very clean, breakfast was on time and delicious, and the AC worked well. The beds are very firm but I appreciated the cleanliness. The family was so friendly and accommodating. Very peaceful property.

What a find! Agutipaca Bungalows are well designed, artfully decorated, and carefully maintained. The bungalows were extremely clean. The landscaping and garden were lovely. We very much enjoyed its charming and peaceful setting. The breakfasts brought to our bungalows each morning were varied and delicious. Should the four of us return to this area of Costa Rica we will again make reservations at Agutipaca Bungalows, a most successful family enterprise.
